Looks amazing in the pics but I've never really seen the point of these road converted race cars.

You just end up with a very compromised road car and a race car that's not quite as good on track as it was originally.

Not something you could take on a trip around Europe without a lot of support either.

I know Andy isn't exactly spoilt for choice about which cars to drive but just 850 miles on this would seem to show its little more than a show car.
Hardly just a show car. I would love to do more miles in all my cars but working in London during the week and busy family life with 3 kids simply means do not have the time. Between my cars I still manage decent mileage and I think anyone that knows me knows that all my cars get used.
I wasn't implying it's a concourse car that's never driven just that given I imagine its quite compromised on the road there are a lot of better options in your garage to take out for a Sunday morning blast.

I'd take your 250 SWB or TDF over this any day but a day on track would be a different matter.

Still a lovely looking thing though (especially compared to the new Senna abomination). TH seems to be getting quite a reputation as the go to McLaren man.

I only have 2 cars and 1 less child than you and I'm lucky if I get to drive the 2nd one at the weekend, if at all some weeks, so I feel your pain wink

Incorrect - the P1 GTR 'only' has the 3.8L engine; the Ring Lap Time holder P1LM has the 4.0L and has 40% extra down force [Have you seen that wing!!] and made-for-it Pirelli tyres

I bet the P1GTR could still set a sub 7 minute lap though smile
ah so this is a road legal gtr without the lm package then ?

The LM is 'a GTR on steroids' for want of a better phrase that I've borrowed from elsewhere. This is a stunning GTR with the same aero and everything else to the other P1 GTR's that have now been road converted [28 or so to date]. The LM is one of 6 and has the enhancements, amongst other things I mentioned earlier.

BTW - you cannot buy a P1 GTR and get the LM package added on.

Well I for one would rather take a road registered GTR over a standard P1.

The one at THJ would need to be repainted in my opinion, as once split from its older brother the livery holds little to no relevance. I'm sure at this price point a quick re-paint would certainly be no deal breaker.

Good luck with the sale.

Not to me. I'm sure someone looking for a claim to fame will buy it though.

POA's are a pet hate of mine.

unless of course the new buyer happens to be the guy who just bought McLaren F1 GTR #27R that is now also in LARK livery and was also sold through THJ, that'd be cool smile

I'd have it in black though smile

Personally I love the colour scheme and would it as is. It deserves to look like a race car, plus it looks even more dramatic on the street

From memory I think it's the Hydraulic Handbrake, I assume for drifting..... Look at the Harry's garage video of his. He talks about it
