Looks amazing in the pics but I've never really seen the point of these road converted race cars.
You just end up with a very compromised road car and a race car that's not quite as good on track as it was originally.
Not something you could take on a trip around Europe without a lot of support either.
I know Andy isn't exactly spoilt for choice about which cars to drive but just 850 miles on this would seem to show its little more than a show car.
Hardly just a show car. I would love to do more miles in all my cars but working in London during the week and busy family life with 3 kids simply means do not have the time. Between my cars I still manage decent mileage and I think anyone that knows me knows that all my cars get used. You just end up with a very compromised road car and a race car that's not quite as good on track as it was originally.

I'd take your 250 SWB or TDF over this any day but a day on track would be a different matter.
Still a lovely looking thing though (especially compared to the new Senna abomination). TH seems to be getting quite a reputation as the go to McLaren man.

I only have 2 cars and 1 less child than you and I'm lucky if I get to drive the 2nd one at the weekend, if at all some weeks, so I feel your pain Davey S2 said:

Incorrect - the P1 GTR 'only' has the 3.8L engine; the Ring Lap Time holder P1LM has the 4.0L and has 40% extra down force [Have you seen that wing!!] and made-for-it Pirelli tyres
I bet the P1GTR could still set a sub 7 minute lap though
ah so this is a road legal gtr without the lm package then ?I bet the P1GTR could still set a sub 7 minute lap though

BTW - you cannot buy a P1 GTR and get the LM package added on.
Well I for one would rather take a road registered GTR over a standard P1.
The one at THJ would need to be repainted in my opinion, as once split from its older brother the livery holds little to no relevance. I'm sure at this price point a quick re-paint would certainly be no deal breaker.
Good luck with the sale.

unless of course the new buyer happens to be the guy who just bought McLaren F1 GTR #27R that is now also in LARK livery and was also sold through THJ, that'd be cool I'd have it in black though
