They have/had a tasty looking 540C with plenty of carbon with a rear spoiler too. Was that the one you went for?

Congrats amazing choice. I am not sure I have ever seen a 540C with so many options and unique touches, and at the price it was listed at with a 2yr warranty I think it was a steal. Yes that’s the one.

Not a good start............
Half way home engine warning light on ......... tried clearing it just keeps coming back on. Then when listening to the Radio or bluetooth music it works fine then suddenly keeps pausing for a second then the Iris System keeps bleeping in a low tone about 10 beeps then gets higher pitched for another approx 10 beeps then all the music or radio plays fine for about half an hour then it does it again ?????????
Am I missing something ?.

Granted you have warranty and I presume it will be absolutely sorted. But still not a great feeling so early.
I have re sent another just as a test, maybe it’s went to junk mail.

Maybe the speed camera warning with voice announcement volume not set on ?Half way home engine warning light on ......... tried clearing it just keeps coming back on. Yes thought that but wasn’t using the sat nav and I turned speed warning off when I stopped halfway at the services. Will try a reset of the iris system in the morning.Edited by Wlr on Saturday 30th November 16:14
Car as been sat in my garage for over a week now.
Managed to go out in the car last Sunday for around a 10 mile round trip.
Engine warning fault light fault was coming on for half the journey now it seems to have stopped and there are no error messages shown in the menu.
Was surprised how the front tyres skidded on full lock when I reversed out of the garage. After checking the pressures both fronts were at 32 PSi when the handbook shows 29 Psi. The car has Pirellis on the front and Michelin Pilot sports on the rear so might swap the fronts for some new Michelin's in the near future..
All the audible warning bleeps seem to have gone away after messing with the sat nav and in the notifications menu so hopefully that's resolved now.
Filled up with fuel at Costco, car got more attention and comments than my 458 Spider used to. Wonder whether people just assume you are more approachable driving a Mclaren than a red Ferrari.............
Found a Mclaren owners club sticker in the glove box, so I assume the previous owner was a member. Might look at joining this week as my V5 as arrived now after the plate transfer.
Will try and get some photos up over this weekend.

That's been raised on a few threads, tyres seam to make a small difference but mine does that and I think its just due to the suspension geometry effecting the Ackermann so don't be surprised if it's still present after a tyre swap.Was surprised how the front tyres skidded on full lock when I reversed out of the garage.
