I like the body colour roof, more and more, every time I see one with it! So few seem to have been spec'd the way yours is. Anyway, congrats and I hope you're ignoring the jealous twonks who cannot revel in the shared passion that the rest of us have in common. smile

It is a great looking & very well thought out car, clearly designed by people who understand what a driver wants. Rarely have I felt so connected & well informed in the drivers seat.

1 week on she’s now done 515 miles & off for PPF fitting Monday, once that’s sorted I can really use her properly.

Thus far very pleased indeed, I even like the Iris system & the stereo is pretty damn decent too.

As for the grammar tossers whenever I feel down (yeah right!) I wonder over to my garages & take a good look at the cars, smile to myself & think if only I’d tried harder at school maybe I could of made them happy too!

OP, my apologies for being a supreme pedant and totally ignoring the whole point of the story you have to tell. I am genuinely not a member of the grammar police and frankly that sort of thing is completely irrelevant really. Very unlike me to do that. Apologies once again.

Great story thus far, enjoying it.

12 days and 1200 miles in. 4 of the days on the NC500, a fantastic route for any car but loved it in this one.

Good to hear about the NC500. I've booked it for July and last time I was round it a lot of the surfaces weren't great

Cool. How would you compare it to your previous Porsches.

993AL looking good, sounds like a great trip to get to know it.

Is yours McLaren Orange / Papaya Spark or is it just a trick of the light in the pics?

It's awesome which PPF did you choose?
about to research the 3m Venture Shield it seems to have moved on from years past, no yellowing, cracking etc etc

Paint shield at Peterborough did mine following a recommendation from Mc Bham to try them or Topaz.

Paint shield were very responsive & helpful where as it took Topaz 5 days to even ring me back by which time I'd already ruled them out & booked with Paintshield.

Very impressed with the whole process to be honest, really nice people to deal with & Stuart the main installation guy clearly has a massive knowledge & pride in what they do, it looks fantastic much better than I expected. Surprisingly it even manages to bring out more of the paint sparkle than on the none covered sections of the car to my eyes.

The product they used is Suntek Ultra self healing film, very impressive to scratch the sample piece with a brass brush then use a hairdryer or hot water & see the marks disappear.

Not really being in the loop on this process I hadn't realised but there is no cutting the film on the car at all, all templates are already digitised on the computer for the more popular cars so they just cut them on their plotting machine on site to cover the areas you require.

Karen or Ann there are super helpful.

Beautiful looking car. Congratulations.

I understand you owned the Black Boxster GTS at Harbour Cars? My friend is interested in buying it. Might have some questions for you if that’s ok?

Indeed I did, it was absolutely perfect when I sold it so if it’s the car he’s after get it bought ASAP would be my advice!

Mail me with any specifics but as I say the car is spot on, she never went out in the winter so not seen salt etc it’s like new everywhere.
