Its only a matter of time and not fact that police will pull you for no front number plate.
It could be 1 day ( in my case ) or 3 years down the line but it is an OFFENCE. If they spot you and are not busy and don't mind doing the paperwork then they will pull you over. If they are on a way to a RTA they aren't going to bother

TBH I'd rather not have the stress of worrying about it everytime I see a cop car just for one-upmanship

Had my first one eleven months the second one four and a half months, have been passed by a total of twenty seven police cars in that time.

On the way back from a South Wales hoon on the M4 got the once over from a fully stickered up BMW 5 series estate Police car but they just pulled along side admired the car and drove off.

This place will make you a fully legal reflective plate (sticker). Just tell them to make it the smallest possible size if you want it reduced in length.
You need to send them your retention cert or your V5 before they'll make it, PDF or Jpeg not acceptable now. https://www.dmb.uk.com/

We all know it’s an offence (no caps required) but it’s about the likelihood of being pulled. Based on the replies to my question, it’s a chance I’d take.

But why give’em the pleasure, when you’ll just be thinking why don't you go and deal with some crime......

If you see it as ‘giving them pleasure’ and/or think about it in the way you describe, then put the plate on. I simply see it as a low risk to stop spoiling the look of the car.

I'm sure there are some parts of this great country of ours where crime is rife and its not a police priority to pull over a supercar without a front number plate.

Probably explains why I got pulled on day 1 whilst others have got away with it for several years

Nearly run in ! PPF soon.

Plus a top tip if you want to use a normal number plate on the front.

It was about to fall off both side sticky pads had pulled off due to flat thick plastic plate.

So it needed to be bent, my heat gun was elsewhere, so what could i use?

Kitchen Blow torch , the type you use with creme brulee
hold it vertical heat at mid point not too close with flame, but closer than you think
no melting etc, on front side.

New sticky pads and its pretty good, may take a pic in due course.

Still doing a vinyl one , but didn't want this one to fly off and smash into car.

Also forgot to say top blokes at Ascot Chris and Steve easy to deal with and understood me from up North"

Perhaps i send them these instructions so they can bend em like beckham before they put them on brand new motors
