they sell pretty quickly when they come up too, aside from the P1 they've been the best investment for sure
Was it 25 or 50 that were built ?Apart from the rarity factor its hard to see its worth 3 x a 675LT IMHO. I struggled to justify over twice the price to go 675 from 650

It was very kind from McLaren Birmingham to NOT send me any invite.
Discovered presentation was yesterday....
Have you got a confirmed allocation ? Some dealers have stopped taking all calls on the 600LT even as they will only end up with disappointed customers they can't satisfy with a car.Discovered presentation was yesterday....
It would be a bit like losing on Bullseye - great, super, smashing, look at what you could of won and they bring on a 600LT towing a speedboat or caravan

Cancelled my order.
Dealer “ forgot “ to invite me to viewing despite haveing my £10k deposit and then put back delivery and now says “ don’t know when it would arrive “
Fed up, not a good first purchase of a maclaran
Sadly not the first time I’ve heard of treatment like this. Dealer “ forgot “ to invite me to viewing despite haveing my £10k deposit and then put back delivery and now says “ don’t know when it would arrive “
Fed up, not a good first purchase of a maclaran

Out of interest, what's your reasoning?
Various reasons really, in no particular order:1. The circa 100k upgrade cost from my 570 spider - I’m not convinced its going to be that much better (I’ve reached similar conclusions when I’ve looked at upgrading my 458 to a speciale)
2. Depreciation - now I know there’s a vocal part of the forum that say the recent phenomenon of low depreciation /appreciation is just a blip and normality will return (they are 100% right, it had to come to an end at some point) but dropping best part of 50k in 8 months is a little strong for me. I went into the spider with my eyes open as I’d already experienced a pretty hefty drop on my previous coupe so it’s not a huge shock I just don’t want more of the same. To lose 50k I need to gross almost 100k, bit of an eye opener when you think of it like that.
3. Limited production - not a limited number, I think they will make as many as possible even if that means pretty much the whole factory capacity being dedicated to 600LT production. I do not think they will hold value well and will be unlikely to trade at a premium. I really think Mclaren should have gone down the limited numbers route, look how well this has worked for Porsche with the GT cars, MCL are mad not to follow this strategy, it would pay off long term.
4. The looks - apart from the top exit exhausts i’m not sure about the rest, looks a bit much in my opinion.
5. Previous reliability issues and how I’ve been treated / lied to by the dealer.
6. The 570 spider is a great car and I’m happy to hold on to it for a while.
It probably doesn’t sound like it but i’m a huge fan of Mclaren, their cars are epic and what they have achieved in such a short time is simply amazing but sadly for the foreseeable future my money will be spent with Ferrari and Porsche..
