He never said it wasn't great value...
He said it wasn't worth (to him) upgrading a 458 to a speciale, probably an 80/100k upgrade at the time.
The current upgrade cost from 458 to speciale is anywhere between 160 and 200k.. Although i agree that at the time speciale's were in production that the gap was a lot lower. He said it wasn't worth (to him) upgrading a 458 to a speciale, probably an 80/100k upgrade at the time.
I was offered a Speciale build slot but declined and bought a Huracan... Boy do I regret that decision!

Seems Mr Bols has a 600LT for sale already...................
Cant see it on web, any price or POA?Just to add to the 458 Speciale debate, you have to remember that back when they were out they weren't selling that well.
I was offered a new special by my dealer with a discount, but decided to stick with my 458 spider.
Hey ho...

When you consider how much whinging about mclaren = depreciation on forums, that’s quite impressive that there are people willing to spend their actual £200+k hard earned cash on the 600LT.

No wants high depreciation, but the McLarens are noticeably better drivers' cars...and life is too short. If you want an appreciating asset, you're probably better buying bricks & mortar Parting way with £200+k shows faith in this model.
I 100% believe however that McLaren need to support independents, reduce build numbers and reduce used warranty costs. Awesome cars, lousy short term thinking management policies.

Am I right in thinking there are plenty of 600LT slots still available should someone want to place a factory order?
Yes definite slots available for Coupe (if you are quick) and Spyder. Ascot is the ticket.monaco1981 said:

Not sure why anyone would order one now.........by the time it arrives in the summer it'll be worth about £50k under list as soon as it's paid for.......the market will be full of them by then........look at all the Senna's appearing currently........Sarnie said:

Impressive crystal ball you got there.Maybe you'll be right, maybe it'll follow in footsteps of 675LT, who knows.
The same depreciation argument could be used for 99% of new cars though.
