Put order in for 600LT
Discussion
Pulled my order after gulping at the cost when specced to my requirements.
Also the fact its not a limited car has killed it for me.
McLaren will not say how many they will build but have a load more interested parties than they have initially allocated dealers so wouldn't be surprised if a lot more cars get produced. Wouldn't be surprised to see them sell 1,000
I'm sure its going to be an epic car from what I saw at Goodwood but sadly after waiting 2 years its no longer one for me.
Now buying something bigger, limited and better value for money IMHO even though more expensive. I'm sure you can work it out for yourselves but pics to follow in due course

To add to this entertainment, basically to avoid weird unmatched Carbon fibre and dark palladium parts on exteriors, i.e. opting for full carbon fiber exterior trims, it adds c. £25k or more to the car, which is crazy. Then best thing to do is either keep all ext trims as standard - and painted roof which I love - or just add Dark palladium roof and cant rails if you love bicolour. Even Rr wing has to be optioned as carbon fibre...crazy.
£230k + for a sport series LT coupe is just to much IMHO. Think you would be better off literally ordering a BASIC car which then looks like poverty spec but fundamentally drives no different.
Spider version when it inevitably follows will be north of £250k lol
But parking price aside for one moment above all its not a LIMITED car and that's what has killed it for me. No doubt they will sell like hot cakes though

I wonder how many people on here are saying they have 'pulled their deposit' simply because they have not been allocated a car?
Lol. Yeah there will be some disappointed but there will also be some cancellations creating more spaces.I was 1st in queue at my dealer 2 years ago and have bought 2 cars from them. The 570S was bought purely to get priority.
The reason I cancelled was I think McLaren will build more cars than the dealers initial allocations.
My dealer wants twice what he was allocated and is hoping to get some more.
It's this that has made me cancel. It's not a limited car and given McLarens past form it could easily become unlimited.
It's going to be a great car but I want exclusivity of a limited number car.
If you just want the latest and greatest car and can afford it go for it.
Understand it's a business and the commercial pressures but I'm disappointed that the LT is not preserved to finite production any longer.
Everyone knows I love my McLarens but the brand has a lot to learn from Ferrari in terms of sales marketing and aftersales

I understand what you mean... however, it seems as though McLaren are following in the footsteps of Lamborghini and their Performante - although it is a 'Limited Car', they did not put a number against how many cars were going to be produced. IMHO the 600LT will be an amazing car, and I can't see there being many more than 500 Coupe's anyway. People are forgetting that the McLaren typically build 3.4k cars worldwide, per year! My local dealer have been allocated 7 I believe, likewise they asked for more, however, the sales manager said they were unsuccessful. This is one of the reasons why I cant see their being too many more than 500 coupes.. hopefully I am one of the only ones in the Bath area
I find myself nodding to a lot of what RL has written this time which I’m not sure is allowed on a PH forum?
Thing is McLaren DO have a huge amount to learn from other manufacturers in terms of client handling/service etc, but the concern is they appear no closer to learning it. I’ve had quite a few cars from them now but go in eyes wide open to how they are. Anything else and you’re kidding yourself, rather like the argument that their cars won’t depreciate heavily. Some of the cars though are superb, so if you can learn to laugh at Woking then that’s most of the battle. With the 600LT everyone should assume they’ll make more cars than they can easily sell, assume there will then be a spider which does the same, and make the decision as to whether to buy or not.

Good luck and fingers crossed for you but they have 5 Senna customers that will get first dibs so I wouldn't hold your breath sadly unless they get a bigger allocationMy local dealer have been allocated 7 I believe, likewise they asked for more, however, the sales manager said they were unsuccessful. Everyone comes round to my way of thinking eventually, some just don't realise it yet lol.
Always good to be ahead of the pack
