My ultimate dream car since being a kid has always been a Lamborghini and in an effort to get myself slightly towards a bit of exotica in terms of looks/presence/driving I know own a Lotus Evora S.
However, McLaren really have moved the game on and when the time comes for that super special car I can honestly see myself binning any thoughts of a Lambo and getting a McLaren. Seeing this post and this gorgeous car has pretty much sealed the deal for me!

The Evora is a lovely car - the same designer Steve Crijns is now at McLaren and has a hand in most of the new cars (so you kind of have a bit of McLaren already). However, McLaren really have moved the game on and when the time comes for that super special car I can honestly see myself binning any thoughts of a Lambo and getting a McLaren. Having driven a 720S on road and track I can tell you it's every bit as good as it looks.
You'll never need to go faster, a beast on track but it's also a pussycat around town.
As you say, it's moved the game on.
I visited McLaren HQ yesterday at Woking, and took my young son.
Truly fantastic day.
I was so impressed by the personal treatment we received from McLaren. It is no exaggeration to say we were treated like family. They made me feel like I was their only customer, so warm was their welcome.
None other than Amanda McLaren's husband, Stephen, welcomed us - and then spent an hour chatting, listening and answering questions. When I say listening, I mean genuinely listening to my comments. To the extent that after our tour I found he had already acted on them and a manager was waiting for me when I left to follow up. Not only that, but Stephen already knew of most of my thoughts because his colleague at Goodwood Festival of Speed had chatted to me there 3 weeks ago and had fed back to him!
To say I was impressed would be an understatement.
11/10 for McLaren.

What does Amanda McLaren (daughter of Bruce McLaren) and her husband have to do with a company created by Ron Dennis? These people were never mentioned back in 2011 when McLaren Automotive was unvailing the 12c..now that Ron has been ousted, they are trying to link Bruce McLaren with the current company, and have drafted in his family!! Marketing nonsense. Fake heritage Sorry but the true McLaren is Ron’s, and the glory years were in the late 80s and early 90s.

Not like you to have something positive to say about a GREAT BRITISH Brand/company Sorry but the true McLaren is Ron’s, and the glory years were in the late 80s and early 90s.
Amanda & Stephen, were asked by Mike Flewitt back in 2015 would they like to move from NZ to the UK to become Brand ambassador’s for McLaren.
At this time Stephen was working for NZ international Olympic committee and is a very able man, it was a major commitment for them both to sell up and move to the UK and all who meet them will agree they are a lovely couple and very passionate about the brand.
So they are part of the McLaren family as Bruce was Amanda’s dad, so it’s a nice story to tell about a great British success story.
However there are some people who post on hear who have nothing positive to say about the brand so best ignore them

So they are paid employees, brought in to establish a link between the current Ron Dennis company and some Kiwi guy who in the 60s set up a racing team. I was wondering what all this nonesense was the last couple of years about Bruce McLaren...Bruce who?? And painting the F1 car in a 70s shade of orange. Talk about going backwards.

He's never told us. I think he drives a Skoda Fabia vRS Diesel with lowered suspension and a boost upgrade. Soot-tastic.
Spot on, How did you know that ? He seems to be a Ferrari fanboy but deep down really dreams of owning a McLaren and thinks trashing the brand at every opportunity will reduce their prices

You've got clever engineers working their arses off to build brilliant cars then some knob in the marketing dept ruins all their effort by trying to invent some heritage that as said is completely fake. I believe the cars are good enough not to need this.
well said some people on here cant accept the truth...
