You've got clever engineers working their arses off to build brilliant cars then some knob in the marketing dept ruins all their effort by trying to invent some heritage that as said is completely fake. I believe the cars are good enough not to need this.
well said clap

some people on here cant accept the truth...rolleyes
Why do you bother posting this stuff?
If you’re bored and have time on your hands why not go to the gym, take up a hobby, visit a 17th century folly or get a girlfriend to help pass the time?
Or perhaps befriend the staff at a local petrol station and chew the fat over a Flavia?
Actually, I know a cracking owl sanctuary near Norwich.

..actually a kiwi sanctuary would have been more apt...and you could have followed it with some clever line about the legacy and heritage of Bruce McLaren...;)

Just to wind him up some more...

Their HQ is very impressive indeed. A lot of it is underground, and feels like a Bond villain's lair An undergorund tunnel leads from the F1 section to the supercar factory.

All the cooling is done via cooling towers, which are on view indoors, and use the water from the surrounding lake, and then circulate the water back via a waterfall that surrounds the building. So cool smile

It's very "design conscious" and looked to me like a car factory that Apple would build if they made supercars.

I saw the F1 workshop, and even one of Senna's old pit crew working on a current McLaren F1 car.

And the best bit is all the original classic cars. The first car hand built by Bruce McLaren and his dad, and raced by them (modded Austin 7). The first McLaren F1, first P1. All the key F1 cars etc (Senna's, Hunt's etc). I couldn't keep track.

I was in motoring heaven. It just doesn't get any better.

And the whole tour was personal, just for my son and I. Really so utterly impressed by McLaren's treatment of an ordinary customer.

And they gave us gifts as a memento, as well as one to take for my wife when we departed.

British engineering at its finest, and a company at the top of its game - at least on the road.

Maybe he doesn't like the cards he has been dealt and rather moan about things than get off his ar53 and make his dream of actually owning a McLaren happen.
Lots of people out there with chips on their shoulders
But at the end of the day his Skoda isn't a bad car just not a SUPERCAR

I don't know, Fabia vRS are pretty quick you know. He'd probably have us off the line driving Not.

Maybe we will eventually learn what his other car is? Ferrari? Aston? Noddy pedal?
