br d I'd hazard a guess & say you are the guy I chatted with at the French end of the channel tunnel whilst you were waiting to board three weeks or so ago?
If so good on you for following through on your plan, we briefly discussed the relative merits of the 570 spider that you'd said you were looking to order to replace the 720s.
I'm entirely confident you will love it, its such a lively fun car to drive feeling special at normal road speeds too. I absolutely Love mine, out in it most days just for the hell of it. Needless to say the roof hasn't been up for weeks now such is the amazing weather we've been enjoying.
All the best with the sale & look forward to seeing the new Spider pics shortly, think you said Fistral blue was the colour you were thinking of going for?
Hello boss! Yeah it was such a shame my boarding was called so soon after we started chatting, I reckon we could have talked car nonsense for hours! Your thoughts on the 570 are exactly what I wanted to hear. I am looking for something that is just more fun in everyday situations and I'm hoping a 570 Spider will be the McLaren sweet spot at the moment.
I've avoided over colour. I love the Fistral Blue, then I committed to the bright green (always loved a loud colour) but I've settled on Vega Blue. It's different enough to have something about it and looks very classy.
Really pleased you are enjoying your car so much, long may it continue!
Lol yes indeed get a couple of car guys together & the time just flies by!
Didn't get chance to hear much about your European adventures but assume you had a great time in your beast whilst hanging on for grim death on the odd full chat twisty road! We were just coming back from Switzerland in my motorhome, not quite so much fun to drive around the passes but nice to have a toilet with you at all times now we are cracking on a bit.
The Vega blue with silver wheels does look a classy combo indeed, had one on display at the MTC when we visited a month or two ago.
The colour I was trying to recall to tell you about when we chatted that I think looks the absolute nuts on the 570s is the Mauvine Blue as seen below.

I did a blog of my trip on here, although it's not exclusively car content:Didn't get chance to hear much about your European adventures but assume you had a great time in your beast whilst hanging on for grim death on the odd full chat twisty road! Switzerland must have been fantastic in a motorhome. You get to see the most beautiful scenery in Europe without the ever present threat of having your car crushed!
I did look at that mauvey blue colour but I kept changing my mind, one day I loved it the next I hated it, just couldn't settle.
I'm going for a stealth look with 570 spider, so the Vega blue but black 10 spokes, black calipers and stealth exhaust tips. I wanted the contrast to stand out and I couldn't find a way of putting anything silver in there. I want it too look a little menacing.
I'll have to wait until it arrives to see if I've pulled it off. Probably should have let the OH spec it up she's better at this stuff than me.
What is your colour combo?

Switzerland is just stunning, we were based in the Jungfrau region near to Interlarken but really just chilled out rather than racing round as the truck isn't really built for that!
Thanks for your trip linky, really enjoyed reading about your Euro hoon exploits with your potato & errant flying cameras trials & tribulations lol.
Really nice to see someone using their car rather than keeping it locked away & just polished to death.
Your new spec sounds cool & most importantly its what you want it to be not specced to make anyone else happy, your own Mrs included! (She sounds like a good un encouraging your car weakness same as mine does)
Mine is the somewhat obvious choice of Ventura Orange although I have to say I think it really suits the car, sports exhaust all the add on packs & stealth wheels etc as seen with big beast below.
When are you likely to be getting delivery of yours & which dealer is supplying this one as think you mentioned you'd probably buy from a different location this time?

Good lord that is a stunning car DS, honestly my dream spec!Unfortunately I've already owned a car very similar and I always try to find something different from what I've owned before.
That's why I've gone for the Vega Blue, I've had a Ferrari in red, a Lambo in white and McLarens in orange and yellow, I need to find a tangent!
Beautiful car though, congratulations.
Yes can’t go wrong with a vibrant Orange, always a Mac winner.
Luckily McLarens tend to look fab in any of the bolder bright colours, unlike Ferrari’s affliction of only really suiting resale Red!
Looking forward to seeing the new car pics once you’ve had delivery & all the best for a prompt sale of the 720s, looks a stunning car & great saving on list price.

Do you mind me asking what list was on your yellow car for sale at AB and why you simply did not hand her back to Mcl? Looks stunning in yellow.
Early to mid two sixties, can't remember the exact figure without digging out paperwork.I've done business with Alastair before and I'm always impressed with the way he does things, nothing is too much trouble really. He's also not too far away from me which is handy, so dealing with him just takes another hassle out of a process that can easily become stressful. I get enough of that at work!
I've sold cars at this level through dealers before so I'm not set against it but just prefer to go to him with a McLaren.

You've got to have your eyes wide open when buying these things!
