I've had my 570 for 6 months and it's been great. The performance is outstanding. The looks are incredible and the car just puts smiles on peoples faces. No problems at all, other than they won't sell you a factory workshop manual or parts book.... and forget about a diagnostic tool!

The sales and service experience so far has been so much better than with Ferrari. It's nice to be treated like valued customer, rather than Ferrari is doing me a favor.

People really need to stop taking comments made on internet forums as a fair representation of ownership.

In most cases, you're taking advice from someone you don't know regarding a car you've never seen that you've no idea if they've actually owned which represents a very, very small percentage of real ownership experiences. Not saying everyone is fibbing but guarantee, like the Amazon ratings, some are completely made up.

Do you due diligence, read up on possible issues/faults and make your own mind on a specific deal but don't avoiding owning your dream car because of what someone said on a forum!
Agree. Some bloke saying “my car has beeem fine” is an utter waste of time in something that is relatively mass produced (ie thousands not less than ten). What you really want to see is the fault rate, which McLaen doesnt publish.

So in the absence of that in reality the best indication of likely running cost/ reliability is the warranty cost. People will say “oh but it covers a lot”. That’s BS (there’s a separate argument about whether a Ferrari warranty doesn’t cover enough).

So the Mcwarranty covers the things you need to keep the car on the road. Hence, allowing for the profit to the underwriter, it’s a reflection of the expected average cost of doing just that.

That cost has been very high in the past. When it comes down (signs of that) then that’s likely to be reflection of improving reliability. Having yet another bloke say “mine has been fine” is not a sign nor are the dozens of Instagram posts of 650s/720s on the backs of low-loaders. Sample size of too small

Just a quick update for those that read my earlier post.

Car's window issues got worse, sent it in to McLaren Bristol 7 or so days ago, and got a 570S Spider to kick about in while they sort my car out. Had the car a week now, having plenty of fun with it, and in fact it's kind of swaying me on taking my 600LT allocation. Hmph.

Due to Xmas/NY period, they'll get back to me in a couple of days once it's all died down. Have the 570S until my car is back anyway smile

Mac Bristol are class!
