Yep, normal depreciation... £10k / year.

£10k a year sounds very optimistic. The 720s seems to be losing that every month. Does it settle down eventually?

I replaced my Exige S1 (Honda SC CC) with a McLaren. You won't miss any "focus" smile

Bought my new 570s spider from Mchatifeld in November. Have to say, the boys there were lovely to deal with. Great service and always a deal to be had.

thanks for all the comments / info;
as per usual, life took over, and I didn't make it to Hatfield.
Will try and pop in next week.

Depreciation is steeper than I thought...

Exiges are brilliant smile - I've just ordered a 570 - advise that you enquire about trackday use and how it might affect warranty before you make the leap - you will not be disappointed with the focus...The 570 is a mega step up from the Exige - btw keeping my Exige tho' smile
Yes I’ve read about needing to do inspections before and after each trackday to keep the warranty intact, which is one of the things that gives me pause about the 570.

I’m kind of resisting driving one at the moment as I don’t want to love it (which I’m sure I would 😀) but decide it’s more expensive or impractical to track regularly.

£10/yr after first 1-2 yrs from new is realistic for a 570S. I would think the same for a 720S.

Eh? 18 months ago a 2 year old 650 Spider was £185k, my local garage now has a lovely spec car for £118k. I play golf with the DP who told me they bought the car in for £94k.
Why will the 720 be any different?

I can't comment on 650C, but I've been looking at Pistonheads to take a view of 540C and 570S.

Obviously this is not true depreciation at the moment but is using cars of different years for sale.

A 2017 540C is 10% cheaper than a 2018 car.
A 2016 540C is 4% cheaper than a 2017 car.

A 2017 570S (Coupe) is 10% cheaper than a 2018 car.
A 2016 570S (Coupe) is 7% cheaper than a 2017 car.

Note that this is selling prices - if you assume the dealer buys at 10K below sale price then you have to take that into account when trading back.

And if the 570S is replaced with a new model, everything will change again....

just put 650S spyder into autotrader, listing lowest price first. The first 8 cars are 120k give or take £1k.. I suppose it might just be co-incidence
