Believe what you want, but I have had ZERO reliability issues, or glitches with the car. Absolutely nothing.

Build quality issues are another matter (loose rubber seal and misaligned bonnet), but both easy fixes by dealer.
Windows dropping?
Key not found in car?
Momentary Iris glitches?
Soft door closers?

I'm not going to call you a liar but you certainly seem to be the luckiest Mac owner I've ever come across.
Enjoy!

I've had none of the above either. Mine has been reliable too. Right now its sitting looking very dirty in the garage, as it has been the past 2 weeks due to being used regularly. No complaints from the car, it feels very well screwed together.

Mine is a GT and has soft-close door latches as standard, I don't understand why there are problems with them?

I think with all cars like these, there will be some issues. I don't think many have reported issues which stop them driving/enjoying the car, and these issues are fixed at next dealer visit. Thus no issue.

Yup, forgot about these, apart from the soft door closer which has never had a problem, in fact mine is in for a service and niggle fix this week and the service manager just text me ask what I meant about the secret lock and fob not always working so I colourfully explained about having to stand there like a knob for up to minute trying to lock/unlock the car but from what I learnt on forums this is a common thing and I'm not expecting a miracle fix !

I've had 3 McLarens across the range. Of my list all 3 had the first 2, 2 of the 3 had the third and only the 720 had the fourth. Mclaren themselves said the soft door close problem was very common in 720's.

Anyway, niggles aside I'm on my third in under 3 years so that probably shows I love them!

Only issue I’ve had really is the key not found which is most times I use the car and now I have an iPhone XS Max the bluetooth goes off 1 minute into the call , had software update but still the same , Iv sold mine and it goes Saturday I have loved the 570s , it cannot be laughed at it’s epic , but for me the falling residuals was the main thing along with it’s 3 years old next month, and the service and warranty is too steep , I’ll be back no doubt but only when the prices stabilise ,

some great informative posts here;
very useful & timely for me, as I'm still considering dipping a toe in the McLaren pond
Time hasn't been on my side for the past few months, but hopefully I'll actually get to drive a few to see if they suit me !

Windows dropping? - never
Key not found in car? - yes, but ONLY when I have my iPhone in my jury-rigged charger in the cup holder i.e. my own modification

Well maybe all things to look out for in the future? I get the feeling those guys who have bought new are worse off than those guys who waited 12 months before buying used. Both on price and glitches as cars that have a few miles on them seem to have been fixed by the dealers themselves. Shocking indictment of whats coming out of the super high tech super clean factory. You'd like to think the staff who are building these game changing cars in that amazing factory environment would have more pride putting the cars together right the first time. Did you buy new or used?

That makes sense. All mine have been new and everyone I know who bought new had issues. They do sort it all out pretty quickly though so anyone buying used probably wouldn't be aware of most of the niggles.

They are churned out in fairly big numbers though aren’t they?! Production expectations might have something to do with it. Who knows.

I bought it new. In summer, but it was probably one of the first 2019 models - in case that makes any difference.

No problems with my 720, only time it’s seen a garage was for its first service.

Its a real shame they are all not as reliable as yours. Have you done any long European trips etc yet?

Soft close doors was an issue with a batch, we retro fitted some to a few 12c's and some of them failed and had to be replaced, mainly affected 570's and 720's.

Windows dropping is a battery warning software issue, was sorted by a software update.

The cars are getting better, there is no doubt of that.

We've not replaced a gearbox for months.

Hit and miss though. My 650S had it and it was supposed to be sorted by an update. My 720S had it 2 years later and now I have a 6 month old 570 Spider that has it. They keep saying it's fixed but it keeps coming back.

Will be a new door module then, we have a 650 here with it now, needs a new one.

Does anyone know what the trade values of 570s are? what is the delta between advertised prices and trade? I am genuinely interested! I know in porsches its about 5-10 depending on the model...
