I have that on my head up display on my M5 .. great car Bertie. I looked at one at the weekend at the Petrolicious event and there are all kinds of unexpected detail in the design.

Brief update......an issue...if you wear polarised sunglasses like my RayBans the centre screen is absolutely completely blank!
Indeed it is , same problem and you end lifting your glasses to change your music etc :

A steering mounted operator would have been nice but all adds weight

I have a 720, wear polarised Ray Bans and don’t have that issue. Is it the IRIS system?

The issue is that the TFT has a polarised anti glare filter on the front, nothing to do with failing eyesight

I think it depends on the sunglasses? I have no problem seeing the IRIS screen when wearing my Oakley sunglasses or any others. They are prescription bi-focals which means I can read the dash and see the road, but the lens is the same 'type' as normal Oakleys.

The sunglasses I suggested have a bifocal section without polarisation as well as +1.5 mag. They may not be pretty but they work.

Have polarised Raybans and had same problem with the 570S I had recently...I can’t see the HUD in my Q7 either when wearing those glasses
