Only 300 miles or so but I’m genuinely in love.
The stupid key not found has come up a few times so that’s going to get sorted. Key is in the cubby hole in the middle, right next to the start engine button.
The standard style seats (not Senna) in the 720S and 570S have a little pocket at the front ot the seat between your legs. Since I started using it to put the key into, the Key Not Found issue hasn't happened again.

Does the "key not fund" even do anything anyway? I have it occasionally in my car but doesn't actually make any difference, it tends ot flash up for a couple of seconds and then I drive off and it dissapears and all is ok. Occasionally I have given the button a quick press as I'm driving off and the hazards flash - but it's always fine and never causes an issue...

Thanks I will check - I have the “racing buckets”.

And it is bloody annoying as the car simply won’t start. Have to turn electrics off and wait and then try all over again.

Also the battery days left gauge is a bit optimistic. It said 40 days when I parked it but was then giving me warnings after 3 days so now it goes on the plug in charger every night.

That's where my phone lives, nice and convenient.

I think it's always very optimistic - but it shouldn't be giving you warnings after 3 days. My 650 is % rather than days, and after 3 or 4 days will still be showing over 90%.

My 720 said 40, 12 then 3 over 3 consecutive days! It was locked but has no tracker activated so god knows what's sapping the battery!

I always plug it in now just in case the estimate is right, I doubt it tho as it struggles to find my key when it's only 6 inches away so I have little trust in the Atari ecu! laugh

Guys, first off get brand new high quality batteries in your fob my 720 used to struggle to find key occasionally but has been 99% fine for last 12 months / 10K miles.
Maybe the low car battery has some effect, my battery is always at 45 days because it is driven every day, I've not used the charger since new......

Something wrong there. I could go three weeks parked-up without issue. Something is sapping the battery, or the monitoring system is faulty. I've never had my 720S on charge. The battery could be buggered - I hope not as they are very £££

Nice car. thumbup

Key not found is an odd one. I have had a situation where the only way the car found the key was for me to get out, lock the car, then open up again whereupon it found the key and started normally. That said I have had key not found message while driving which is more of a key was found but is now lost; car continued normally while I found the key and moved it to a location the car was happy with. laugh

I find the battery state pretty accurate and tend to have a week on and week off the charger if the car is not being used.

I also found that the manual was out of date and that the car had features which were either different to or didn’t feature in the manual. Lift was one and a start up display that changed automatically when the tyres were up to temperature were two features not in the manual.

It's that long since I've had the "key not found" problem but I think I'm right in saying that the electrics won't even come on if the key is not found. What you're describing could be another common problem of not stepping on the brake pedal hard enough. If the dash lights up but won't start, a harder press of the brake pedal usually sorts it.

The 'key not found' has never stopped mine from starting, when it pings as I drive off I can usually cancel it by pressing the 'OK' button on the end of the lower LH stalk. As you say, if it won't start try pressing the brake peddle harder. thumbup

Finalised the paperwork today, car arriving late next week. Can't wait to get it. I've decided to use it quite a bit so on my deal set it to 6000pa. That fact it was only £80 per month more to be allowed double the miles seemed worth getting. Especially with the £1.44 per mile excess! Not sure of the logic from McLaren as I would argue 6000 miles extra on a 600LT will make the car value much lower than the £2k or so come the end of the deal.
