Hi there

My 458 Italia has being with Autobrite Direct UK for the past week getting thoroughly pampered. It has had their new Ceramic Shield protection products applied, then followed by their Autograph wax, along with full interior valet and full engine bay cleansing.

I've own this car a year now, I did not go out looking to buy a Ferrari, in fact the Ferrari ownership prospective was quite down in order, from sitting in my armchair and reading specs online, watching many video reviews it was actually Lamborghini (Huracan Performante) and Mclaren with a 570S or 720S which were topping the charts, as such I went out doing test drives.

In the end I went with the slowest car, the 458, but it had one amazing stand out feature, it was fun at legal speeds, it felt planted but also alive, the noise was only rivalled by Lamborghini's but in the Lamborghini's they were too good for the road, I even tried a RWD Huracan but apart from looks and noise the drive just felt nowhere near as spine tingling, the 458 had me grinning, even laughing and when I looked at my speed I was doing 55mph.

Plus the 7yr service pack, 2yr used warranty were all very attractive propositions into Ferrari ownership and the much stronger residuals of the 458 compared to other stuff I was looking at, only Porsche 991.1 GT3 RS I felt was more solid, a year on and 7000 miles later, yes I use my car and thoroughly enjoy it I have to say the 458 is simply amazing, breath taking I've done many road trips including Scotland, St. Andrews, NC500 and also Wales coastal roads and some Southern trips too and the car is a sheer joy to drive it can do the daily thing but in race mode is still raw enough to feel so special. I drove 488's and though faster and better, I was not excited after the drive, but I have to say I think your either an NA or Turbo fan and I've always preferred NA engines for power delivery and noise.

Anyway the car has looked after me, a year on, 7000 miles zero issues apart from a flat battery which Dick Lovett were amazing about and couriered a new battery to myself free of charge for me to fit as I was happy to fit myself, as I've done engine rebuilds and fitted superchargers on past cars I have owned so a new battery it was. Also I have to say in general DL have being absolutely amazing from a customer service perspective and also taking me on trips and sending invitations to events etc.

So let me post some pictures of its pampering, they may take a few minutes to appear as I am uploading them right now:

So now it is done, but I am just awaiting to collect when the weather somewhat improves for hopefully a dry day, I shall also take some of my own photos as all of the above have been sent to myself by the owner of AutoBrite, they are also making a video featuring the car and new products also I believe which I shall share in the future too. smile

Looking good, like brand new and a great plate!

How much would all of this treatment cost me?

Plate came with car, so nice bonus there and thanks to previous owner. smile

The treatment is by car really but get in touch with Mark Moss at AutoBrite and let him know I sent you, he should sort you out. smile

Beautiful - the only thing wrong with mine is it isn't this colour.

Fantastic looking 458 especially with the Nero roof..Another big thumbs up for Dick Lovett Swindon who are a credit to the Ferrari brand..Regarding the front number plate i've fitted a Carbonia clamp on holder which is discrete and requires zero drilling or sticking on..It can also be removed and refitted in a matter of seconds..
Personally i think you should PPF the high risk frontal area as its a shame to see chips in that gorgeous Triplo Strato paint.

I was going to buy red or black, then when I see this triple yellow in the flash, I was sold, plus the car specification was perfect for me as its pretty much as light as a 458 Italia can get being carbon interior, forged wheels and no lifter system and basic stereo. Plus it had cruise control which I need due to how much I use the car though can be easily retro fitted.

I get what your saying but I just dislike PPF as it dulls a car.
Plus I am not sure if its the situation with Ferrari paints in general but the paint on this car is extremely hard, the guy polishing the car said its the hardest paint he has ever polished, but the plus side is that means it is far more swirl and chip resistant.

But yes chips do scare me and inconsiderate road users but the car is made to be driven and its so much fun and so far so good, so keeping fingers crossed. smile

It must have something to do with the triple layer..I wish Porsche would use the same paint as Ferrari..

Yes I had a yellow 911 C2S some years back and its paint would chip if you walked within a metre of it, so soft by comparison.

Hi there

Literally could not resist, so popped down to Autobrite today to see the car in the flesh and wow the photos simply cannot portray the deep gloss the car truly has, but here is some photos I took:

My favourite colour for a 458. Such a stunning job. Love the way the black uppers make the cockpit looks fighter jet bubble esque!

Enjoy :-)

God damn! That is one amazing looking 458!

I was after a yellow one, couldn't find one with the right spec when I bought so went for a Grigio Silverstone one instead, about as far from yellow as you could get...!

Loved the GS but always regretted not holding out for the one I wanted.

Congrats, beautiful car thumbup

I actually put a deposit down on a Fuco Red (spelling) but upon closer inspection the car seemed a bit odd and even though it was being sold by Ferrari approved it was missing at least two service stamps and Ferrari could not provide a record of it being serviced, even though it was a nice car they were unwilling to move on price and I just thought to myself this has really put me off, so if I come to sell this I am sure future potential owners will be put off too and it would be a nightmare to move on.

They obviously sold the car because it was a fabulous car.
I looked at several red ones, don't get me wrong absolutely stunning and I very nearly purchased a black one because for whatever reason to my eyes 458's look awesome in black, whereas many black cars lose design styling and curves, in the 458 it still looked incredible and I love the gold flake in the sun. But again the dealership were refusing to move on price and it did not have the full carbon interior and well I kind of really wanted the interior, that car is also now sold.

But in the end I was unsure about yellow, but when I went to see this car in the flesh and it was the 4th or 5th I had driven oh my I was so happy I had waited, Dick Lovett were far more willing to be sensible and negotiate on price and I got a discount, lots of freebies and a car that drove better than any before it, maybe because of the updates as all the other cars I drove were 2010, 2011 and 2012's though the black 2010 car I nearly purchased also drove amazingly well so I put it down it just being on how well they had being looked after or not.

No regrets, I love the car its a true event to drive and the response from friends and randoms is extremely positive, the people who said buy red soon changed their minds when they see it in the flesh. smile
