I’m looking to get something for a couple of years as a weekend toy and usually prefer to buy cars on finance with a GFV for peace of mind. I’ve had previously a F430 Spider, R8 V8, Vantage, F355 etc and financed them and came out pretty well at the ended without it costing much (except the Vantage, that hurt!)
Anyone have any view on what finances well at the moment over a 24 month deal? I’ve seen a few threads about high GFVs on R8 V10s and Mclarens? Is that still the case and does anything else work well?

From my searching McLarens seem to hold ok decent balloons payments. R8’s V10’s hold really well. Depends what you wanna spend a month I suppose

I'd have thought the way Maccas values drop like a stone even before they've left the showroom (allegedly) that finance would be astronomical!

APR and the Guaranteed bit of FV determine what’s a good deal. Oh - and the price

They were doing AM Vantages for £1k/month a few weeks back, but I think those deals have dried up now they’ve sold through..

I suspect that Mac might do something in a similar vein soon, as they’ve got more stock than customers at the mo..

From what I’ve heard, you can get some very good deals on Mclaren gFV, assuming you negotiate the discount off list to begin with.
eg, take 60k off list as starting point, and gFV at 80k off list in 24 months. Not exact numbers but broadly in line with actual deals I’ve seen offered
It’s going to cost you £20k + finance charges.

The New Vantage deal officially ended at the end of 2019, there were one or two cancelled orders still available in early January but I suspect they have now all gone as well

As mentioned above I gather there are some crazy offers on 600LTs/Spiders at the moment, so might be worth a call to a dealer there

Worth keeping in mind (given one comment above) - these deals have nothing to do with where actual residual values might be in two years; this is the manufacturer taking a hit to shift unwanted stock (successfully in AMLs case, not so clear in McLarens). But of course their loss is your potential gain!!
