Agreed
Neither of mine had this in 5 years
Over the 10K miles of owning a 720S, I had 2 services, both times I received a video Safety Inspection. Maybe it is specific to Rybrook going the extra mile. I suspect it is worth their time because it gives the opportunity to up sell tyres etc. Anyway, it is reassuring to see the underside of the vehicle and that parts were in good condition. If it isn’t standard across other Dealerships, it should be.Neither of mine had this in 5 years
Both mine were looked after by Rybrook (McBrum)
5 services and several warranty visits over 27k miles not a single "safety video"
One trip to the local Merc dealer (Lookers) and I get a call and video to tell me it needs tyres and probably brake pads
Yeah of course it does!

My question re track worries has been answered already but I'd value any further input you might have on the matter.
I wouldn't worry at all, providing the car has relevant checks - Mc Qualified Cars have to undertake a 72 multipoint inspection before delivery, maybe ask for a copy of that? That will provide all the info you need. MAC 720S said:

Yours might - mine didn't when I had my service in December.
Odd, I thought it was standard practice for all McLaren dealers.I just assumed they all made these vids and emailed them out.

Hi all, after years of scrolling through these forums, i have finally gave in and created my own username. I understand this is a forum, and people are entitled to their own opinions, however there is a lot of nonsense that is thrown around on here regarding McLaren as a brand.
I would love to give owners advice/resolutions for issues/recommendations etc, i would love to give potential owners advice on these things also... as i feel the brand does take a beating on here, which is very frustrating when McLaren actually build probably the best performance cars on the road today (i am sure the other owners on here feel the same).
A bit about me, i have extensive knowledge of the brand, having worked for them for over 4 years, and i can honestly offer an unbiased, yet factual view on all concerns/questions.
If anyone has any questions etc, please PM me, i will monitor these regularly.. or simply ask anything on this thread. I hope i can be useful to some people... thanks.

Lol, i think this guy has been posting into numerous forums in the last few days... 'my 600lt is broken' .... i am not sure that is true, considering the first picture was a seal? If McLaren Leeds are not returning his calls, why not drive to the dealer to speak face to face? Or otherwise, your local dealer to get it sorted? Would help the situation massively, rather than trying to publicise the issues and expect it to get resolved quicker that way?https://www.instagram.com/mclaren_ignore_me/?hl=en

Jeeez, seems a bit dramatic, broken 600LT. Choice of description is poor. Decaying seals, looks more like polish on the seals or some bonding glue. Rust on doors is the well publicised corrosion. https://www.instagram.com/mclaren_ignore_me/?hl=en
Doesn’t excuse not returning calls, but seems to me that there is some exaggeration going on.

Almost certainly the same - Petjam on the 600LT price thread

I imagine MAC is referring to McBristol if the gent above mentioned McBrum haven't done it to his car in the past five years. I have no clue why not done for other people here....I wonder if it’s something they’ve introduced this year.

No video.
No that I'm bothered

If I remember well, I didn’t even ask, but I was very picky with procedures and wrapping of seats and st wheel to avoid scratches....
When my Aston is serviced I get the video emailed over , I requested they didn’t bother to save them time and for me I’m not really bothered if I get one .
The answer was they get audited on customer service and the video forms part of the overall package.
I can understand why some would want to see a video , but it’s a no for me.

Hi All,
After agreeing to purchase a 570s from a Mclaren dealer should I be unduly concerned that the car has been tracked?
I have asked for an inspection and report on the condition of the callipers pads and rotors.
Any other details questions or inspections that I should be asking for? Will they really prep the car back to 'as new'?
Thanks
When I bought my 570 I asked for an ECU print out as I'd been shown similar for GT3 by a Porsche dealer. I had to be persistent and it seemed there was resistance from Woking, not the dealer. I figured it would be a breeze but, apparently, the car has to be connected to Woking to download the data. Anyway, I got what I wanted and it contains pages of data. A lot is meaningless but plenty is not e.g. max speed, time in gears, revs etc. I wanted to know how many times launch had been used...once plus one abort. I recall suspension data being included, though not brakes.
Perhaps worth asking for a print out to get a sense of how a car has been used.

They've never volunteered it in 5 years of dealing with Giles, Ian, Andy and the crew at McBrum.
I trust them to spot any issues and call me.
Never had any issue with them damaging my cars either.
I've had video from other brands, they are usually not that informative and a veiled attempt to up sell something (usually tyres or brakes )
