Yes indeed, new record for a production car. 2.1 seconds 0-60 too on his best run.
The really shocking thing is you can see from the dash that when he used (crappy) PZeros, they were cold. Very impressive indeed. (I really hate PZeros.)
The car is indeed a monster, but a very driveable one, thanks to the incredible steering and chassis feedback it gives the driver.
The worst thing about the 765LT is having to wait for mine
Jump to 12:15 if you just want the spoken conclusion. It will impress Brooks even more when he drives it more on road.
Just be aware tyres are much less of a factor as that is a very sticky drag strip surface. You cannot walk on it in trainers as you would get stuck. had to be the case, there's no way it was that much faster than the 720s with the stated modifications of being -30kg +30hp
You forgot the lower final drive, I reckon the peak power will be approaching Senna levels when measured on something decent like a Maha.I cannot see why you would pay twice the price for a Senna that is very aesthetically challenged.

It may well be all round faster than the Senna.
Close, if you read the final notes.... https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a35353597/li...

Interesting that a good ole Ford muscle car was quicker than a Huracan Evo and the new Corvette.

Watching that 765LT lap it looks like it is possible to make up some time in several places on that lap (armchair racer here :-) ).https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a35353597/li...

As for the Mustang beating the Huracan, I suspect the US pro drivers are very experienced at getting the best from US muscle cars, possibly not so much mid-engined Italian nutters? but again, I'm just an armchair racer :-)
In past years Corvettes and various other US 'heavy metal' have outpaced other 'super' cars on US performance tests too :-)

Definitely agree with the 765 lap. A lot looks untidy to me. As for the Mustang beating the Huracan, I suspect the US pro drivers are very experienced at getting the best from US muscle cars, possibly not so much mid-engined Italian nutters? but again, I'm just an armchair racer :-)

Novitec should maybe lend them there car and see how agile it is after there mods .....
FWIW I've raced in US and Europe and can't say I observe generic differences in capabilities. Its a very international scene - many racers in the US have grown up karting in Europe (vice versa for me).
While the C&D guys are very familiar with the VIR track - there is no question they would need more time with the cars before they can get the best from them, not to mention using the gizmos them have on them these days. I'm still working on improving with my own 650s - but I dare say I would do better than them with my own car (I think they got 2:43 or so with it or so back in 2015) and prefer doing that than jumping to the next new thing.
But still this is a good view for those that do jump to the next new thing - how the car performs when you are not familiar with it.
