Anyone had a Speciale out at Goodwood on a 102db limit track day? It's my local track so wanted to see if I could get away with driving there if I bought one. Thanks in advance.

Sorry no idea about a Speciale but have seen plenty of them on track days at Goodwood , If just over the decibel static test they

may give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to short shift coming out of the chicane and

again at Fordwater ,They will monitor you on drive by for the first few laps.

My local track as well and i got no hope of getting on with any of my cars without changing my exhaust before hand.

Best when you get the Speciale pop down there ask them to do a test before you book a track day.

Thanks, I've taken a few cars there and yeah they're quite helpful about avoiding the meters, but my Aston was way above the limit and it really took away from enjoying the track day having to constantly worry about noise. So just wanted to find out before buying a Speciale whether it might be an issue.

Meridian Ferrari have track days there, They must have customers who own Speciale's that they invite, they may know but probably

more interested in promoting sales, if not try "Ferrari Chat" or Club Scuderia.

Hope to see you there when they let us out to play.

Only managed one track day last year don't want a repeat this year . rolleyes

Good idea, will give them a call. I’m booked at Goodwood for the April and May track days, can’t wait.

I bought a house near Heathrow, but want to complain about the noise.
Should I contact the local council ?

Local people are fine with the noise, they seem to except it as part of area. New housing estate just gone up last year across the road from

Madgwick corner and the buyers are warned of the circuit on the legal documents, the road leading into the estate is called

Shelby Drive so if that's not a hint.Lord March objected to the planning permission fearing complaints but it still went ahead

Lord March gave way to the local council for lower noise levels to get the permission to have his

unsilenced racing back at the circuit , got black flagged for the first time a few months before the first ever Rivival .

Believe it was five, three for the Rivival and now two for the MM meeting previously used for the Revival practice days.

general track days are 105 db's and 98 db's depending on how many cars on the track together.

5 days per year !

That's a hands-down win for the NIMBY's and council.

Honestly mate, I think you're stuffed with anything remotely noisy. Goodwood has three noise stations and it's pretty joyless to be dropping into a high gear past each. You get two of these stickers then the black flag. This was in a Carrera GT

They wasn't quite so organised back then, (1998) The marshals and the drivers were still trying to get use to the new limits,

Lucky really we got away with murder before then, like most things it hasn't got any better since.
