I guess that genuine faults are covered by the original warranty so it will be irrelevant where the repairs are done as it'll be covered by the factory anyway.
Where it may be more of an issue is if the car was over 3 years old and McNF did an inspection before then putting the warranty on it. As Davek said earlier I'd have thought the warranty company may then have some comeback as they could argue the faults should have been rectified prior to the warranty being applied.
Anyway, it'll get sorted out one way or the other and hopefully quickly.

Warranty or not, the supplying dealer has a legal obligation to repair all faults. If they don’t they should replace it or give your money back.

Now that it is being ‘looked at’ by another dealer, you’ve probably kissed goodbye to your statutory rights for a full refund or any future claim in the event of repairs not being successful.. Been there, done that, got the T shirt.

If I were in your position again, I’d insist that the car is repaired by the supplying dealer and point out to them at a very early stage that you are aware of the CRA2015. You only have 30 days from point of sale to qualify for a full refund.
