Yeah I didnt realise the attention the cars get.
It was ridiculous, people were even leaning out windows and videoing the car.
Rays car was storm grey I think he said but certainly a darkish grey so its wasn't in your face at all but still got loads of attention.
A bright colour was my initial thoughts but I'm not so sure now as im buying the car to drive not for others to look at.
I've ruled out white and black.
I would really like a blue one but after 12 months of looking ive only ever seen one at GVE I think it was so they must be special order and rare.
After seeing the 12C in purple that would be a great option but highly unlikely unless Shmee sells his
I do like Napier green to look at but I'm not in my 40s anymore 🤣 and don't really want everyone looking at me like a goldfish in a bowl.
Colours seem quite limited in choice TBH and price varies dramatically with spec from what I can tell.
The CC car does seem an absolute cracker and my grown up kids are even saying to go for it

Was not expecting it to be at that price after less than 2 days.
Looks like there is still a strong demand for 675s.
I wonder were it shall land?
A very high risk for anyone wishing to buy through an outfit like Collecting Cars. No consumer protection and no getting your £6,000 back off them if sale fails due to no fault of your own. It’s a successful bidders fee not a sale fee !!Looks like there is still a strong demand for 675s.

You certainly need to inspect car pre bidding and factor in the risk and the £6k

Did you end up buying a 675? Stunning cars. Especially in blue 😁I've ruled out white and black.

Collecting cars Spider looking like a bit of a bargain with 2 hours to go....
Yeah £207k for that spec is outstanding value.Wonder if its a trader and will reappear at £230k
I know colour is subjective but If I could of handled everyone gawping at me in such a in your face colour I would certainly of bought it at that price. I think as a short fat bald 60 yr old a little more restrained colour suits my profile

Wow.
I do very nearly went for that. A few days ago I thought anywhere up to 210k would be a bargain but in the end I wimped out, as my mates thought I was mad considering I’ve never driven any McLaren or anything with more than 400bhp. But was still sorely sorely tempted.
That’s a lot of car for the moment but if CC really does give one an insight into market value that can’t be great news and must soften prices? The orange clubsport they sold a little while back also seemed perhaps a tiny bit soft but this at 201 (207)k as a spider with only 2k miles and in the middle of summer might make the others out there look a bit expensive?
Still unsure if I’ll regret that in 5 years or think it was a lucky escape… McLaren prices and residuals so hard to fathom at the moment.

You should have bought it and had it wrapped in any colour you like and saved £20kWonder if its a trader and will reappear at £230k

From everything I've read and heard about the 675LT they seemed to be highly regarded and price wise potentially have bottomed out. A recent Super car Driver video comments "wow, remember when these could be bought for just £200k" Still unsure if I’ll regret that in 5 years or think it was a lucky escape… McLaren prices and residuals so hard to fathom at the moment.
The 675LT seems to be the car McLaren absolutely got it right with and by limiting its numbers to just 500 coupes and 500 spiders worldwide residuals have to strengthen IMHO as they are just so rare.
600LT is a cracking car by all accounts but McLaren simply built far too many of them with 3,500 cars hence the residual issue. 765LT launch was covid effected and god knows how many were built for UK but supposedly 1,530 worldwide but these are coming in at circa £400k and no matter how good cant be twice the car surely ?
The 675LT certainly seems to be the sweetspot from everything I've gleaned over the last 12 months. This will be my first venture into supercar ownership so its something I've reserached potential purchases particularly mclarens heavily for 12 months knowing my retirement was imminent and I won't be spending my pension commute money lightly.
My original intention was a 720S spider and despite some cracking deals my attention has more recently been turned to a 675LT based on it wont depreciate anything like a new 720S and if anything ithe consensus seems it is more likely to appreciate

£201k is a great price for that car.
Factor in the £6k fee, the £1600 service and put the £4950 warranty on it, someone has still acquired a fantastic car.
I personally thought the seller was just too vague with the auction description, and also responses to questions to inspire confidence on a no-comeback auction at that price range.
Yeah even at £214k its under retail for the spec and miles.Factor in the £6k fee, the £1600 service and put the £4950 warranty on it, someone has still acquired a fantastic car.

I think it could be a trader who will run it for a while and then it will come to market for £230k after the summer

If you don't watch it you'll be a short fat bald 70 yr old waiting to buy his first Supercar. Time to buy one and show us some pics of your new PAJ and turn your dreams into reality.I think it could be a trader who will run it for a while and then it will come to market for £230k after the summer

Couldn’t agree more with this. Picked mine up a couple of weeks ago and have not regretted for a moment. Edited to add - this was between plate changes before anyone has a pop...

Anyone would think he's already got a 675 and is repetitively trying to talk the market up on them...//williamwaiver
