When I owned my 12C I found the dealers to be very good ... but it's nice now to have a good indie in your back pocket.

In fact, for the older cars Thorney appear now to be the first choice ... adding value to McLaren by making the old cars a very credible ownership choice IMHO smile

Thorney looked over a 650S Spider as a pre purchase inspection, they were the nearest to the dealer and I'd heard and read plenty of positive comments about them.
Once they had the car and completed the inspection they came back to me and talked through the findings, they'd found that the engine had some major issues that the dealer (non specialist/main dealer) were trying to coverup, saved me a potential fortune so from my experience I would definitely recommend them.
They are incredibly knowledgeable and have a loyal following taking advantage of much lower costs, I'll certainly get them to inspect my car once it gets to 3 years old as I think I'll get a more considered opinion than a main dealer.

Maybe a little before just in-case ?

Still, good for the brand which I hope will do well .... Porsche need the competition.
