Non P1 bucket seat cars are at a substantial discount on the used car market , probably even more so than the £8k it would be to buy and convert them over

As soon as it popped up on my feed I spoke to AB and put a deposit on it.
One of only 3 VO spiders in the UK and very close to spec I would have ordered new - so it was a no brainer.
My 2nd 675LT and back in a McLaren after visits to Lotus, Porsche and Ferrari frown

It seems to be the case that most McLaren owners use their cars rather than keep them under a cover in the garage for fear of putting miles on them them like other marques.

I use mines in every weather and as often as I can; fortunately the colour masks that its proper filthy so it can go a good bit without being cleaned. getmecoat

I wouldnt want to buy a Mclaren thats been a garage queen as the little niggles and glitches they seem to suffer would not have come to light or been sorted.
Much rather buy a car thats done a regular 5k per annum and been properly sorted

12.5k miles in my 600LT since January 2020 and no Euro trips allowed so would have been a lot higher. Can't imagine not using it when I feel like it, keeping the mileage low is a total waste of great cars.

Here's to putting plenty of miles on the 675, I love that interior too, wheels not so much.

Please share your comparisons when you have had enough time behind the wheel of the 675.

Enjoy in good health buddy

Heard of a few 675LTs changed hands off market for £250k but £260k seems new high currently but with supply drying up and good spec cars few and far between prices are set to rise further IMHO.
Back to List price in next 12 months will be nice

Would you sell yours if they did get back to list?

Having gone from £100k over List Price to £100k under they were obviously under valued.
Some owners might be tempted to cash in and
If you bought used at the £200k low point I would imagine a £100k profit would be tempting for a lot of oeners
At £330k new list price I cant think of anything that gets close so what would you replace it with

The small trickle of 765 spiders appearing for sale are around £450k+ though.

Its design is a little over complicated for myself as apposed to the timeless Stephenson models.

765LT is obviously an awesome car and currently twice the price.
If 675LT went up and 765LT came down im sure it would be a contender for some but it would still be over £100k+ and like you I prefer 675LT looks.

Never liked the 720S looks but with familiarity its grown on me marginally but still agree its very fussy and has wacky hyper car appearance.

Only other car I can think of is a Ferrari Pista spider but again £400k and a lot more common

I'm pretty sure Frank Stephenson started the design of the 720S and Robert Melville took it over, in fact I am sure the same can be said for the 675LT, started by Frank and finished by Robert, but happy to be corrected. Personally I prefer the P11 cars over the later cars BUT the 720S has grown on me to the extent its almost as pretty as a 12C ;-) the 765LT does look like a 720S that's been on a trip to Halfords though (IMHO) but like the 720S it may mellow with time.

The biggest difference in the 675LT and 765LT though is on the driver development side. The 675LT was developed by Chris Goodwin, he made all the decisions to car set up, suspension, steering, dynamics. The 765LT was developed by Kenny Brack. AFAIK CG is an experienced road tester and set the cars up primarily for road use and also to be smooth, fast and accurate. KB is a racing driver who has set the cars up more for track use, so a bit harder, but also added an element of 'playfulness'. This is supposed to make the 765LT a bit more 'slidey' compared to the 675LT's accuracy. More playful and more power may sound like a good idea but on the road a bit less power and a bit more accuracy might be the better set up? I have not driven a 765LT so can't comment but reading between the lines, on the road the 765LT probably needs more ESC intervention than the 675LT which has great traction and balance with minimal ESC intervention required, its happy on public roads with ESC in DYN mode, almost off. I am sure there will be big differences in the character of the cars and I have been told the majority prefer the CG set up to the KB set up. but again I am happy to be corrected by someone with more knowledge than me, all my info is second hand.

TBH I dont think you can utilise all of the power of a 675LT on the public roads let alone a 765LT..
Driver engagement and fun is the key not outright power and lap times these days.
720S is faster than a 675LT but it doesn't feel it

Love hearing this. I've always done 7-8K a year in my cars, at least 3 of that being euro trips.
I understand low mileage if you're very busy or have a few cars to choose from but I'm mystified by people who talk about depreciation. You've just spent north of a quarter of a million quid on your dream machine but you're not going to drive it in case you lose 15 grand in 3 years time???

I guarantee that the extra fun I've had doing 15K more miles than a garage queen was worth the 15 or 20 I lose at the end. If that really is a big concern then buy something 50K cheaper and drive it constantly, surely that's going to be a better way to go in our rapidly diminishing lifetimes?

We might not even be around when it comes to losing that money.

Each to their own though I suppose, don't mean to offend anybody.

I think the difference is that it’s the driving experience that draws drivers to McLarens. Many owners of Europeans seem to be oddly satisfied with ownership - period.

Congrats on your purchase - will be interesting to see how the steering feel / chassis of the 992 GT3 (with its front end wishbones, etc) compares to the 675 LT, which IMHO, has the best steering / driver feel of any road car I’ve owned.

Enjoy smile

Burnt r

Also re interior - everything is personal and super subjective but maybe consider changing the steering wheel / seat centers to black - it will then be a little like a CGT with a Black and Ascot brown interior - I think for very little expense this might really help and if not you can keep going - None of my business but I thought this might help.
