720’s are just coming back down from their inflated price post covid

Pre covid they were coming down to the £130k level, and that’s where they are now
So in reality they should be just over £100K now ?? That would be an interesting proposition .. smile.

I see there another coming up on CC soon, “Managed sale” which rings alarm bells, also been serviced outside the Mclaren network ( Litchfields). Wonder how that’s going to affect its sale price .?

Would you take a 720 over your 600 at these prices?
I could have bought a 720 for about 10 grand less than a 600 but to me the 600 is just a prettier/more raw car with less complicated bits to go wrong. I really think the 600LT is probably the best car they make when you factor in cost.

Ive always thought the 600 should sit somewhere between 570 and 720 prices (reflecting the new price), i fully appreciate they are a completly different proposition and ltd numbers, but at the same ish cost, i would prefer a 720 even if it meant pushing to achieve it.

If 600's were £120-£130 i would have one until i could make the jump to 720 money, if i had sold my 570 a week earlier i would have been visting AB on the orange 600lt he had @ £130, there are now quite a few decent cars under £140, down quite a bit from summer highs.

Maybe with the artura being available and soon to be 750s, previous models will find a more stable price in the market place as someone mentioned above, which will be a good thing. There may well be a 720 or two @ £130 ish but i dont believe that represents the market as a whole, most good specs/mileage are still £145-£150.

It says a lot about where the actual market is considering that all those 600 coupes have been hanging around at circa £139k and not selling for the last few weeks but the orange one at AB sold for £130k - it didn't exactly sell instantly as well so perhaps the prices still have some room to settle.
McLaren Birmingham have an 18 plate coupe up for £139k, which is the first approved used one to drop under £140k recently - which means that the other independent dealership cars around the same age should be priced in the early 130s to reflect the lack of the official warranty.

Is there any reason 600LT spiders are also so closely matched to the coupe prices compared to the 720 which has a £40k markup from coupes to spiders?

At the other end of the scale, the cheapest sports series car seems to be this 570GT at Sytner Select which has just been reduced to £76.5k

Early £70ks seems to be the absolute floor for dealer cars on the sports series

Seems to be a few private sellers asking same sort of money as Mcdealerships, some with higher miles and no warranty, I cant for the life of me understand why ? Surely if you want to sell you need to be realistic with your pricing and attract the right buyer, if your car doesn’t sell you’ve either got to try a SOR which you’ll pay someone a fee or trade it in/sell to a dealer where you’ll get £20K less, surely somewhere in the middle ground is where these cars need pricing ..

We were supposed to be going to look at that a week or so ago, but came down with a flu bug. Maybe we should wait another fortnight smile

A very decision I made a couple of months ago, the Mrs wanted a 720 but having driven both I only wanted the 600 LT Spider, I simply found the 720 not for me.

I also paid more to get into a 600 LT due to wanting a Spider and MSO spec car, absolutely zero regrets for me it is just the better and more fun car and th looks are to die for and for a Mclaren it sounds half decent and I've come from a GT3, also got a 458 and Exige in the stable.

Mclaren Manchester sold their lovely black coupe with Senna seats for 135k.

For me my 600 LT had to be a Spider, there is only positives from this, two cars in one, amazing noise and your never gonna notice the 50kg weight penalty.

Yep I sold mine within 2 weeks privately but I was realistic about what I thought was achievable price wise....some cars sit on the mkt for months on end and price doesn't change...a private deal should always be a chunk less than a main dealer but still a better price than trade in level.

I bought the black coupe from Manchester. It’s a 2020 car with 6000 miles. They had three 600LTs in stock and they’ve all sold. They’ve also sold a couple of 720s in November and were down to three or four used cars last week. Cars are selling if they are priced competitively.

Good to see some cars moving although I'm not really into obsessing over values of a car that's in the garage already. Mine has dropped about 17k since I bought it. Who cares? Just drive it. 3 trackdays done couple of k total miles even took it shopping today biggrin

Was that car advertised originally with silver wheels? Thought they worked well but seems he dealer had them painted black at some point.

Yes, there was the option to have them finished how you wanted.

It was talked about in spring/summer, the 600lt in murawi white, hasnt budged on price (maybe 5k) and now way behind the curve. I guess the seller (dealer or sor) just isnt bothered whether it sells or has the rose coloured glasses on, but you think they would start to mist up at probably 6 months that it isnt gone.

I was once informed by a wise friend some time ago when discussing what price to advertise a car for that i used to own, do you want to sell it or just advertise it, two completley different things.

I don't see any McLaren Manchester Sports Series that have been reduced in the past seven days, which cars are you looking at? (Could be my error).

I'm seeing a 570GT and a 570 Spider have had £3k off at McLaren Birmingham this week, plus £1k off a Spider at Hatfield.
