The yellow 570s was originally £116,950.00 when it went up for sale the end of June.
£116.950.00
£109.950.00
£104.950.00
£94.950.00
The white one was also £102.950.00 now down to £89.950.00 about time the dealers took a kicking.
Also that white car with the buckets has been there at least a year, and started at £93 or £95 (I looked at it last November).£116.950.00

Talking to them, they've 're-priced' a lot of their stock, McLaren and Bentley, to get it competitive with the market, this being just one example. They also said that their current finance rates are valid until the end of the month, and after that they'll be going up three percentage points.
So... if you're looking to finance, now might be a good time to buy; conversely as the interest rate rises feed through it may lead to lower demand and prices over the winter, if you're paying cash.
(I was going to go and look at the above car, it looks fab in the pics/video, however I've just found out I can't get my garage door widened until January, so have to hold fire for now. Damn.)
Sorry its about to have a new owner I crumbled.

Congrats! Looks great (as I would expect in VY)I wasn't really expecting it would hang around til Jan at that price, it looked ripe for the picking to me.
Great move IMHO, hope you have lots of fun with it.
And I'll hope to join you in 570 ownership in the new year

A 570s sold on cc yesterday for £68,500 + fee?

These seem a great buy at those sort of prices.
That’s quite an odd spec, a very early car with the 3 piece dash display and I thought only the 540c came with steel brakes, the 570s having carbon as standard. Same colour as the one I enjoyed for 4 years, and whilst I know most people want these in a loud shouty colour, I went with blade silver as its a little under the radar. It looked great in the flesh IMHO.https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2016-mclaren-5...

Only advice I’d give when looking at these as a second-hand buy is check the body for corrosion, check everywhere…. Wing edges, doors edged, along the joint to the bonnet skin on the underside… everywhere. They are mechanically pretty reliable although there are plenty of horror stories if they get mapped, but with McLaren holding paint codes and pulling back on paint warranty cover, I if there is any corrosion, it’s going to be expensive to fix.
There is a Mclaren main dealer invoice for the removal of carbon discs/pads and fitting of std iron discs and pads, seems a very stange thing, especially the money spent on a mso hsd and mso enchaned carbon exterior. Very odd spec car.
I know the paint code issue gets mentioned a lot but its not strictly true or as comprehensive as, mclaren doesnt release codes, if the bodyshops mixing machine is AkzoNobel who is the paint manufacturer for Mclaren they will have the codes.
I had my font nose cone resprayed, MSO colour, at a local bodyshop and the code was on his AkzoNobel machine.

Ceramic discs were probably fooked from track driving. They are ccm so don’t have the extra hard layer that ccbs haveI know the paint code issue gets mentioned a lot but its not strictly true or as comprehensive as, mclaren doesnt release codes, if the bodyshops mixing machine is AkzoNobel who is the paint manufacturer for Mclaren they will have the codes.

Plenty of Mclaren owners here track their cars without issue, why does this track days "fook" ccbs keep getting repeated without real foundation? Sure there are lots of variables, but your average owner doing a few days over their ownership is not going to be having issues is fair to say.

I’ve seen many first hand
People do not realise they need to manage the heat on them on track days, instead - they think they are indestructible and delaminate the outer surface through allowing them to be running too hot for too long.
As long as you manage your session time and allow for a proper cool down, they will be ok
Carbon Ceramic Technology
Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes is the world leading producer of carbon ceramic brake discs. The product portfolio currently includes 3 types of carbon-ceramic discs:
• Carbon Ceramic Brakes – CCB
Produced in Meitingen plant
CCB is a disc made up by a core of ceramic material, reinforced with carbon fiber and covered by an additional ceramic friction layer on both breaking surfaces.
Customer Applications:
Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, AMG, BMW-M, Aston Martin, Toyota
• Ceramic Composite Material – CCM
Produced in our plant in Stezzano
CCM disc is a floating disc made up by a core of ceramic material, reinforced with carbon fiber. In comparison to CCB, CCM disc braking surfaces are not covered by an additional ceramic friction layer.
Customer Applications:
Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Corvette, Nissan, Chevrolet, Mc Laren, GM, Pagani, Honda/Acura, Jaguar Land Rover.

It seems there are quite a few hardcore american owners tracking on a weekly basis in high heat destroying discs, but ive not really come across it over here, any info would be welcome.

I've personally witnessed a guy at Donington here in the UK track his 992 GTS with ceramics, drove it really hard and refused to do a cooling lap because its only money and left the disc sitting their baking to the point you could see the excess wear on the surface from just one session. It seems there are quite a few hardcore american owners tracking on a weekly basis in high heat destroying discs, but ive not really come across it over here, any info would be welcome.
I on the other hand have done many UK track days in in Porsche and other cars with ceramics and then spent a good two laps cooling the car and brakes off to have no visual wear on the disc surface.
Ceramics like to be warmed up and cooled down, otherwise you really accelerate the wear of the disc.

last time I was at Spa Francorchamps there was a 720S with chees grater discs
I also have personally cheese grated my CCM's on my old F-TYPE, as has a friend
Also recently view a Fezza Cali at Fezza main dealer with cheese grated CCM's
I also took delivery of a 650S last year from McL main dealer where the discs were starting to go cheese grater ...
Its a weakness of the CCM discs. They need looking after, much more so than CCB's, other wise they can be easily fooked. nothing controversial !

Very happy with my ccms with track use and as are many others (inc friends) for balance.
