Not quite as tight as I thought it was going to be! I thought width would be the issue but it’s quite long as well!
Thats a lovely colour combo ....enjoy in good health.

After almost 4 years with mine It’s a lovely place to be and generates lots of positive attention.

My advice, just drive it as much as possible !

That's a great photo, really brings out the depth in Ventura Orange and the shape of the car.

I'm off to the Continent in mine tomorrow morning, can't wait!

Anyone knows much about this 540 or where it sits value-wise? It seems to be the best way into a bright coloured car with relatively low miles. Although the other early 540s are struggling to sell at £75k

Would it be better to spend closer to £90k and get something like these? The latter being a track pack 570 from a main dealer

That 540 actually looks quite good and priced ok, the Yellow track pack car is essentially un marked. I know the car very well smile

Thanks! The track pack car looks great and at 24k miles all the niggles should have been sorted but needs to be priced accordingly

I like all three of them, and there is probably an argument for all three for different reasons.

540 - cheapest and the difference in money buys a lot of additional warranty..
570 TP - Well known car and track pack is quite a rare option.
570GT - personally I think it's the best looking, and spec works really well for me aswell

I quite like the Gt too, the glass roof would be nice, have you driven one before ?

Edited, not you Justin, I know you have 😂

Exactly my thoughts, it's hard to choose and the 570GT seems to be the best all round choice and has the sports exhaust so should sound just as good as the 570S, but I'm drawn to the Track Pack for the P1 buckets that add that extra sense of something special everytime you go for a drive. Had an Exige 410 with buckets so would be a natural successor.

The only sports series cars I've driven are the 570 GT and 600LT. The latter is out of my budget for now due to a house project so looking for an alternative

Out of those three the 570S jumps out at me
- Arguably rarer / more interesting colour
- Ceramic brakes
- Lightest wheels
- P1 Seats
- Main dealer w/ 12 month warranty
and arguably a car that has been driven a fair amount, but is still in A1 condition, is the best of both worlds.

I.e. higher mileage notwithstanding it feels best VFM to me.

However I personally feel there's a definite step up in intensity between a 570GT and a 570S, for good and for bad, so it also depends what kind of car you're looking for. The 570S TP would be closest to a 600LT to drive, I'd imagine.

I had a track pack 570, the P1's are incredible, lightest wheels, larger rear spoiler, track telemetary, awesome car for the money.

Dropped mine in yesterday as the AC didnt feel cold enough. Birmingham rang back and said suspected leak so they're going to fix that.

Common issue or?

I haven't really tested it in high ambients, but on my German trip 2 weeks ago the A/C was happily keeping us cool in fairly strong sunshine, despite all the glass area, so I think mine is ok.

This is just a theory, but in the old days cars had a special button to turn on the air-con. Many drivers would leave it off normally, then on the one hot day of the year you'd press the magic button for the first time in 11 months and ... nothing.

More modern cars run the air-con as part of the normal ventilation etc by default, and it's less common IME for them to lose gas and stop cooling. I've been told that by running it frequently, that keeps the lubricant circulating and keeps the rubber seals supple - it's disuse which causes leaks to develop.

ISTR your car is pretty low mileage, so it may be that it's suffering from disuse hence the leaks. Hopefully the dealer can replace all the affected seals for you, and then if you keep the car in use the issue won't recur.

Definitely common. Running it more regularly helps apparently

There’s a misconception about A/C being used in winter, it should be as you’ve pointed out, the oils in the refrigerant keep the compressor seals etc supple enough to actually seal and do their job, you should use it to de-humidify the interior as well as heat; that’s how systems are designed to operate.
Just topping them up is a bit of an odd thing to do… should be vacuum out, pressure test, refil and use fluorescent leak detection..

I have A/C guys who work for me…
