The 5 yr warranty on these is a big move for Mclaren
given the increased complexity of the car hopefully it's a sign that they think the offering is robust. Thought it looked v nice in that Storm Grey paint and I like how the interior has evolved but like others have mentioned a 600LT Spider and a chunk of change appeals more.

I think Harry’s comment “And look, a wheel that you just steer with” sums up some of what makes it attractive and nice to drive.

The 5 year warranty is good. What is key however is how quickly they can rectify the problems when they appear.

Look, I’m not wanting to argue about it…. Just fresh from watching the video and remembered Chris Harris saying, ‘where are you Mclaren, because you are a long way behind (the 296)?
It's ok, I would 100% take a 720S over either of them anyway.

It was in Chris' review of Artura that he said he would take the Artura over the 296. I think the comment you refer to relates to the relative performance of the two cars i.e. 296 being much more powerful.

We need a three way test, throwing an NSX into the mix just for sts and giggles.

I thought Harry’s Garage video also had him preferring the Artura’s steering feel, outward visibility and driver-focused cockpit.

But the warranty can be extended out to 15 years ?

1. I think Harry loved it
2. The equivalent ? Porsches are now this kind of price
3. You don't need to shag (or be shagged by) the dealer principle to get one ... and I guess they would be happy to sell one without a big finance kickback for the sales-person ...

I know it's expensive, but what a car. A real egalitarian Supercar. Wow ..... wow ... wow. To the end of petrol ?

I was similarly minded but go try them and you will be pleasantly surprised.

The design is very clever - light battery so doesn’t negatively impact the weight and feel of the car, but wow that instant power means finally zero turbo lag so it feels like an NA car.

Apart from in full EV mode, it feels like a completely petrol car.

I hope this car is a huge success for McLaren it feels like it has to be....and for all the knockers what Mclaren have achieved in 10 years is actually quite impressive theyve given a viable alternative to the Italians and way more desirable products than almost every Porsche...they have their issues no doubt but fk it fair play to them. My next car will definitely be a Mclaren nothing else measures up.

I'm well out of the loop lately, what's the next thing down the line?
The Artura is an amazing thing but I never buy the first of anything, what's lined up next?

Is the 750 going to be a hybrid?

I thought the 750 was basically going to be a facelift 720 with a replacement hyrbid to follow.

I would hazard a guess that it shall be followed by a 790LT run out model...

I think i remember another thread someone mentioning the new head honcho is dropping the "lt" designation as he believes its become too watered down by all accounts, s and r etc will be used i.e 620R, i have no idea if thats true though.

Have to say, I think McLaren (perhaps due to the new leadership) seem to have done quite a good job 're-launching' the Artura. The recent round of reviews contain very few tales of cars spontaneously combusting or becoming a mobile sauna, and it seems to be being rated as more or less an equal of the Ferrari 296 - some prefer one, some the other, ECOTY couldn't split them. For a car that's 25% cheaper to be rated as on a par, so it basically comes down to the buyer's personal preference, seems like a pretty good position for McLaren to be in, especially given the absolute mess that the car's development, reveal and launch were.

I just hope that they don't dilute their mind space for R+D and quality control by bringing out too many new models.

With limited resource, a few superstars excellently delivered is surely the way to go ?

In recent reliability reviews of major brands Porsche have taken a pasting ... worse than Land Rover ?

Reading an article the other day and the new boss admitted to such with the past rollout of watered down line up, so hopefully not.
