Sports Series bonnet catch

Hello, has anyone had any issues with the bonnet catch secondary release, not releasing with the fob or interior button? Mine has needed some manual intervention to open the bonnet recently.

It still pops when using the button, but stops on the catch.. assuming a spring has gone?!

I didn't think they were fitted with a secondary catch, my2016 car wasn't fitted with one with dire consequences so maybe they changed this later on.

Mine definitely has. It normally releases both on the press of the button, but now it's not releasing the second .

It still opens ok just needs me to unlatch it which is frustrating

Hi, they had an issue with the secondary catches (safety) catch sticking open due to an un lubed pivot, could well be not sticking now, with the bonnet open see if you can get it to stick open by gently moving the lever

Yeah the latch is still working, but not releasing. Its failed safe which is fine.

I can pop the first latch and the bonnet pops, but it wont open unless I manually slide the catch out the way. I actually spoke to McGlasgow yesterday about it and they are going to have a look when its next in. Hopefully a simple fix rather like a spring than a full catch replacement.
