I don't get why some people always think this uplift is an issue with a McLaren LT but think it's fine if applied to a C2 / GT2RS or 458 / 458 speciale where the uplift is currently £250k. And there were 1,300 x 458 speciale coupes compared to 500 x 675LT coupes. It s a mystery to me.....
Perhaps it s because McL owners, like myself, are more interested in the driving experience than in the theoretical benefits of special editions. At least in my case, I didn t see 100k in it vs a 650s - certainly not objective performance wise. Bought a manual Atom instead for a truly raw experience, keeping the 650 as a comfy road car.But respect to the OP - beautiful car and love the beautiful trips. And certainly the market agrees the LT is worth 100k more.

I'd agree with you that the uplift from a 458 to a speciale isn't fine, it's way ott in many ways but the market is probably more proven for them than McLaren that's all.
It's nothing against the 675LT, it's a very special car. I couldn't afford a 458 speciale anyway, so it's a moot point. I could if I wanted stretch to a 675LT, and would love to do so, I just personally don't think I'd see the benefit myself over something "normal" like a 12c/570 or even a 600 LT. it wasn't a dig at 675Lt in any way, just my (and probably others) observation that's all.
I think your probably in the best future proof McLaren other than a Senna anyway!

All McLarens at whatever price point are incredible from a performance perspective.
Yes some may look a bit better, have more Carbon or handle better etc but they all pretty much do the same thing.
I’ve owned 5 and probably the least expensive one was the most fun.
I don’t buy this Speciale is best crap although I get why some folks do, a Cheap Citizen watch is probably as good as a Rolex. Everyone’s choice though !

12c for road trips and with the extra I’d need for a 675LT got a BAC Mono for trackdays!
But Chicane grey 675LTs are just lovely!

+ 1, but i think thats the case for any brand personally.Almost every 675 owner has had at least one or 2 mclarens before the 675, and usually highly praise whatever models they previously had.
More than happy to be corrected though....

With the exception of the Rambolambo lad, I havnt seen any posts from a previous, current or prospective 675 owner on here that is nothing apart from informative about 675s.....certainly no sign of any perceived snobbery or 'looking down' at other models.

I guess it depends on what social media sites/ clubs you a member of. Almost every 675 owner has had at least one or 2 mclarens before the 675, and usually highly praise whatever models they previously had.

PH certainly for McLaren is not one that many use I suspect

Just wondered what everyone is using for phone holders in the 650/675. Need to find something that will work and enable me to see Apple Car play.
I don’t use the phone actively in my 650s but my US friends recommend this one.https://supercargarageatl.com/products/phone-holde...

I went from a few years in a 650 spider to just under 5 years in a 675 spider. It's nothing against the 675LT, it's a very special car. I couldn't afford a 458 speciale anyway, so it's a moot point. They were both fantastic cars; i personally wouldn't say I noticed a huge difference between them....they were both warp fast and handled like they were on rails.
Price wise, I lost about £3k on the 650, and the 675 sold for more or less the same as purchase price.
I was contemplating a 765 spider, but they are staying very firm on price, so currently negotiating on a late '22 720 spider as a stop gap, as they seem an absolute bargain bang for bucks at the moment., whereas the cheapest 750 spider is around £50k more.
It seems the 720 is considerably more expensive than the 675 to service, and less mpg.
Looking forward to getting back into a Mac.

Yeah...I never gelled with the aesthetics until very recently.
+1 on aesthetics, the right colour helps, surprisingly white works on them for me.....but functionally it's the successor to the 650S and therefore a superb car. Easy access mono-cage (coupe), bhp, proactive chassis.
Interesting perceptions of 650 / 675. Thanks

I'm looking at the stunning garage!
Does that side window allow you to view the car from the living room?
Thank you for your kind words. I am very proud of my little garage Does that side window allow you to view the car from the living room?
unfortunately it can’t be seen from the lounge, but it is from both the kitchen (makes breakfast a bit more fun ) and also from the gardenChris Sideways said:

Just thinking that if you remove a wall and replace it with glass, some structural work is probably in order.
