Congrats on the purchase ! It should have a charger but they can get mislaid …you’ll definitely need one as keeping them on charge is important if you’re not using it much .

You weren’t tempted to collect in person ? I know it can be a trek if the dealer is far away but it’s something I’ve always made a point of doing..seeing the car in a showroom under lights, meeting the dealer in person and then driving it home just makes for a memorable day out. They are epic bits of kit and at the money what else compares? absolutely rapid but very tactile and engaging to drive and if you’ve never had a McLaren or something in that sphere before it’s gonna be quite the step up! post some pics when you get it and wishing you health to drive ! i cant even look at pis of it now as the adverts gone.

MANY MANY thanks for this comment, really added to my excitement..... the dealer is quite far and unfortunately ive got a group training session for ppf installations so it needs to be delivered, in all honesty i'm abit nervous about driving it and will need abit of time, although i deal with cars like this everyday, this ones MINE. This is my first ever mclaren or car of this level so im very very excited, ive recently come through stage 3 cancer so this was a very special 40th present to myself and tbh..... i pretty much accepted i wouldn't see this birthday , managed to get up and keep my business alive ( my true love and passion ) and by the grace of god ive been in remission for a few years now , so this feels otherworldly to me right now, i cant quite believe its happening. but it is.... i feel abit tearful about it, pathetic i know. Before i drive it properly id like to get it properly protected, change some of the PPF, add a plastic TPU screen cover ( i install them for racing teams) as ive seen a few with cracks , do my OTT cleaning routine then get out nice and early and DRIVE...... Promise ill post pics or even better , ill video it for the memory banks. Davyt said:
Yes !, I thought about getting mine done last year but haven’t bothered, as long as there aren’t too many colours going on you should get away with it,,, Hope you enjoy the car ,,
im tempted to try a brushed clear lacquer finish.... ill have a go with it at work and post the results if your interested :-)Beedub said:
if youve got anymore can you post em up please, they shut down the advert after i placed the order. :-( would have been nice to see it stay with reserved so i could pour over it for a week, lol.
I got Mrs interstellar to look on Instagram for it. https://www.instagram.com/p/C7hI_ZHKRDI/?igsh=Y25x...
If you can’t see it pm me and I will email them to you.

That was a sobering read, sounds like you’ve been through the mill but v happy to hear that you’ve been in remission for 3 yrs, very young age to go through something like that and shows how life can throw up some unexpected problems so enjoy every day …the 600LT will certainly help in that front what an awesome 40th bday present ! Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you will love it.I collected mine 3 weeks ago today and over the 250 mile drive home I managed to master Cruise Control... which wasn't really too far up my list of priorities when I was hunting for one
Enjoy!!

Congratulations, I saw your new purchase in the flesh a couple of weeks ago when I was at Redline and it looked stunning. I quite fancy a Spyder but was tempted to buy the one you've bought because it looked so good!Congratulations on your purchase too Jim. We seem to almost follow each other around regarding some of cars that we buy and it all started all those years ago when you bought my Turbo S. At the moment I'm torn between a GT4RS and a 600LT. If I buy the latter I promise you I'm not just copying you.
All the best,
Danny.

Hiya mate, hope all is well.
Obviously my experience of the 600LT is a bit limited but I always thought the Turbo S felt like I was being fired out of a gun when I gave it a bit of a poke. This feels similar but from a bigger but more nimble gun. I better make sure I don't shoot myself in the foot tho
