Excellent. Had mine five years now and I'm still amazed how good it is and still excited every single time I get in it, or even just look at it.

I will be looking at my 12C parked in the garage (saving loads of fuel lol) every day over winter, until maybe end of March 2026 or start of April.. When the roads are dry and then she can hit the road

I used my 12C & 675LT all year round, in all weathers. Never had an issue. Use it and enjoy it

I`m about to take my 570 to the midlands form Norfolk... they are far off better being used regularly than sitting around.

I loved the swipe door ... it was so sensual walking up to car and sliding your finger along the edge of the fold in the door to open it ... but mine was a little slow to respond when the car had been parked in the rain ... so I then had to resort to the button on the key smile

Nothing quite like driving around on a cold winters morning, with fog blanketing the ground, heater going full blast, heated seat keeping my arse warm, top down listening to the V8 burbling behind me. Requires a little bit of self control not to use the performance on cold damp roads, but other than that they are great year round cars.

If you don't use it in the rain, you will miss the Wiper operation, a beautiful piece of work to behold smile

And also, seeing the aero vortex off the back of the car, and off the lower rear corners.

Swipe doors are lovely as has been commented, very McLaren. Buttons were added after they started doing "what everyone else does"

yes Also, the air brake check as you pull away on start up is very cool too.

Yes they are superb cars, simply on a different level to what existed before them.
Since owning one, I can see this is a result of Ron Denis F1 engineering culture, and the standards of design, of hardware and dynamic control, that brings to a sports car.

Great outcome for the OP I think, looking forward to some images of this mint swipe door MP4 12C!

Same here to a degree! I just don't like all the salt and grit that gets used through the winter censored
