Loving my i3 around the city however the horn is embarrassing. I am thinking of a compressor linked to a couple of air horns. Has anyone changed their horn? If so are there any restrictions concerning either current or amps for the compressor?

That'll drain your battery like a Spitfire running out of ammo.

Have to say, this is probably the only EV that actually looks like a dodgem car. ...hehe

Any good lease deals on these? I'm considering getting a rex model, new I can get about 6k off but that's still above my budget so was thinking of personal leasing.

Of course that is utter nonsense, unless you drive around with the horn going constantly...

One of the guys in the UK i3 facebook group fitted a twin tone PIAA horn set

i had my second i3 4 months ago and i'm paying £260+VAT/month with £1500 down for a high spec rex.

it is unlikely that you would be worse off than an equivalent petrol (ie £35/40k)
your electric bill would be around £25/mth which compares well to a petrol bill @30mpg of £130
Could you share which lease please?

Do many of these sell privately? Has anybody actually bought one privately?

There are very few in the classifieds which suggests that I'm going to be better off trading mine in for their disappointing trade in value.

We've sold 3 now, all relatively quickly and all on PCP. Please do get in touch before trading in just to make sure we can't offer more

Try advertising it on the i3 UK facebook group - there are quite a few prospective purchasers on there.

I sold my first one privately. A buyer from BMW Sytner came to my house and bought it.

The somewhat mild facelift is official now.

Exterior with two new colors (red/dark blue), new front/rear bumpers and a chrome strip, interior seems untouched except for a new (still non-touchscreen) nav, new stability program.

The only other good change in my eyes is standard bi-LED on all cars, so high beams are no longer dimmer than the low beams with the optional LEDs.
No changes in battery capacity, range or charging.
i3s now available with wider tires, sport suspension, +14 PS and 0.2s faster to 60.
