It seems to have the voice control, you need to spec it as

If you have an iPhone, the handfree button on the wheel will activate Siri, from which you can operate most phone functions. Just doesn't work with a crappy Samsung G4!

Standard system works fine with voice control on any android phone guys, you just need to turn on Google voice on your phone, and allow actions from Bluetooth connected devices, I've had my 330e over a year (standard HiFi) and have used several android phones, also setup few of my colleagues.

Once setup you just hold the steering wheel voice button and can call, txt, navigate etc

Update: the settings are inside the app thats called "Google" then settings, then voice, then hands-free, then turn on "allow requests from Bluetooth devices"

Job done 👍

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies, I ended up deciding on a 530E SE over the 330e M Sport, for a number of reasons, but the two big ones was the fact it felt a good big smaller forming down from my current F10 and my wife asked me a simple question .. how will you feel in a year or two when you start seeing people in the new version driving about ?

So after a lot of googling and trips to the dealers I decided on a Mineral White , I had LOVED blue stone paint since the first time I seen it and it is beautiful irl but .. I feel it is more suited to M-Sport versions with the big wheels and blacked out windows .. on the plain Jane SE it looks kinda boring, the mineral white colour is n reed to give the SE a bit of a uplift .. I have a few side by side pics and everyone once I showed them when ... oh .... wow yeah it is kinda dull.

So can I ask about the badges, ordering my 530e SE tomorrow and the guys at the 5 forum don't know the answer.

There is a choice of two de-badging options. ipreformance and model. Is my understanding Correct ?

Model takes the 530e of the trunk / boot and iperformace loses the blue circles on the alloys and blue inserts on the grill, even with both selected it still comes with the i on the wing and the e-drive on the rear pillor ?

These can't be removed for legal reasons to prevent someone from trying to jump start the car ? (Or was the sales man talking st )

I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that the edrive badge needs to be there as it can be dangerous for emergency responders using the Jaws of Life to cut the car open, if they don't know it is an electric/hybrid car, as cutting a high voltage cable could result in them being electrocuted. As I said though, it could be completely wrong!

Yeah that's kinda what the sales man said, that it someone not knowing it was electric tried to jump start it, there is the potential for it to explode so them badges can't be taken off .. just few a pic or two of the 330e without them and was trying to find out if that was a DIY job or if it came from ... lol was going to say Germany there but as am getting a 5 ... if it came from China like that lol

Does anyone know how long map updates normally take ? I'm in North West England and my daily commute is impacted by the new A556 and the BMW has been offering lots of non-existent diversions in recent bad traffic mad

I've updated my satnav with 2017-2 but the new road that opened in March still isn't there. I emailed BMW who apologised and said there were up to 4 map updates a year but couldn't say when the road in question would be added as the data is maintained by HERE who look to do a fairly large number of manufacturers systems.

Wondered if anyone had actual experience of a new road being added local to them ?

Ordered my 330e 3 weeks ago via Zenith leasing (company car).

Today, I received my date of delivery.... 27th November! That's mental in my eyes, never waited this long for a car before... But I get that seems normal! I'm fully expecting that will be later than suggested as well!

One of my colleagues ordered his car on the same day as me, 330e m sport, but no options... His date is 30th October. That's a month longer on mine to put different wheels on!

Anyway, ordered the 330e M sport, mineral grey, 19" 403M, and M sort brake upgrade. Still excited.
My mate just had an update to his delivery date... It is now 22nd January 2018!!! WTF!? My delivery date was already after his... Dread to think what mine is going to be!

It makes you wonder... if you walk into BMW with £40k in your hand and said, I want one of them but I want it next week.... Would the salesman sh!t his frilly knickers... Or would he make it happen?

£40k in hand to a BMW dealer or a 3rd party lease job? Pretty sure the outcome would be different, yes.

A lot will depend on the leasing co as well.

Hi folks, many apologies if this has already been posted, but has anyone got any experience/advice of using the Connected App/website for a Windows 10 mobile device, BMW genius had no real clue and just advised to speak to a dealership. The App only seems to be provided for IOS or Android. I have an M Sport variant ordered through Leaseplan due to arrive mid Sept.

I don't think there's a W10 app but I do sometimes access the connect portal via a browser on my work W10 tablet, and you can do everything you can on the app and it actually shows a little bit more information than the app. As long as you get the phone browser to remember your logon details assume it won't be too long winded - though not as easy as the app with touch id setup

Many thanks Tony, that's kind of what I was resigning myself to, which as you say, may not be too bad with a tad more information anyway. Who knows, by Sept they may have developed the App for Win10, but worse case it's a bookmarked browser. Thanks for coming back so quickly.

Hi all,

First post on here,

330e due to be delivered 23rd August to the dealer. Has anyone had their m sport plus automatically changed to the m shadow edition? Reason I ask is mine was, which I thought was great, until Zenith (company car) decided to increase my monthly contribution to £383 from £202!... something to do with the p11d of th shadow apparently.

Needless to say I changed my order to a standard m sport with all of the m sport plus extras, minus the brakes.

Seems a bit excessive. The P11D value for a 330e M Sport is £37,765 and for the 330e M Sport Shadow Edition is £39,665.
Comparisons can be seen here http://comcar.co.uk/compare/?remove_vehicle=703738... under the "Company Vehicle Tax 2017/18" Section

Yesterday, I had my car back after almost 3 weeks because a camper van decided they wanted to come into my lane and smash up my rear passsenger end. I kept tabs on my app while it were in for repair with no movement, the evening before picking the car back up, I noticed that the car had been taken out for a quick 8 mile spin or should I say blast from what the app showed with petrol consumption, very low battery % used and drive time. I said to the guy when picking the car up, that my app showed the car had been taken out for 8 mile blast at 7pm on the previous evening and that they could have charged it up seems that they tanked my fuel, it supposed to have been cleaned, inside yes, outside full of splatted flies from evening previous take out. The young guys face when I showed him the stats from the app; I did say I understand that the car needed a quick run round before handover, don't think they will be quite eager to blast others cars.

Here's the stats, i did my own drive around the area and returned less that half the av mph in more than double the time because of the lights and road system, I also get better battery % when I'm in save mode!! They must have took it on the motorway.

24.6 mpg - must have firmly been in the "I'm in a rental/someone else's car" mode with the right foot.

Not necessarily, I had a blood test yesterday, drove to doctors in charge mode, 6 miles, 12 mins (30 mph average speed), equals 25.4 mpg

What method did you use to calculate the 1.07 litres of fuel you burned biggrin

Just had a look at AA route planner and it's a perfect mileage match for a quick motorway junction and back to the body shop. These stats wouldn't be achievable on the suburban roads around the area because of many traffic lights, islands and typical road traffic at that time. The AA says the motorway route should take 22 minutes ( not 16). There were no battery charge (4%) when I picked the car up, so I'm guessing, the car were in sport mode/plus ( not save because I would have had charge in it with that mileage) proof in the pudding with the battery usage (4% used for journey). Conclusion.... heavy right foot usage, potentially breaking speed limits on roads and motorway.

Yeah, but was he in charge mode? Charge mode will obviously be detrimental to the MPG.
