Hi all. Is it normal that I’m still being given a vague date for delivery?? Car ordered 10/10/17 individual colour (tanzanite blue) and all I’m being told is “March” when I query why they’re so vague they say it’s because build will be Feb? I don’t know. Just expected a proper eta by now.
Am I wrong??
Mine was ordered on 25/09, so a couple of weeks before yours. Was given an estimated stock date of 15/01 within 24 hours. This was through Lex.Am I wrong??
It came in to the dealer on 5th Jan and a estimated delivery date was added on the portal of 15th Jan. I called Lex last mon (8th) in the hope I could get it last week. They put me on hold and called the dealer, earliest they could do was 15th.
So I've booked delivery in for tomorrow morning.
Hi all,
After your opinions... I can order either the 330e Shadow Edition or the 530e M Sport through the NHS lease scheme with work. Obviously the 530e is the better specced car as standard, but I have added a few things to the 330e...
Professional Media Pack
Interior Comfort Pack (Heated Front Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, 40/20/40 split fold rear seats, Front armrest)
Active Cruise Control (have this in my current Golf and love it!)
On the 530e, the only thing I have added is the Active Cruise Control.
Leaning towards the 330e, as it has the Harmon/Kardon surround sound included. What would you do? , Both come in at around £360/mth salary sacrifice.

Does the 530e come with the standard stereo system, or HiFi (or what ever they call it these days)? If the latter, I personally find it more than acceptable and don't really miss having the HK.As much as I love my 330e, I think the new 5 series is in a different league it terms of refinement, quality etc.
Don't forget it's an (almost) new model, while the next generation 3 series will be launched later this year.

Hi all,
As an update.... BMW have been back in touch and confirmed that I will have to order my car from scratch, however, they are willing to put me in an 'iperformance' courtesy/demo car while i am waiting for mine to be delivered, so not a bad outcome overall. I just hope the iperformance car they are referring to isn't a 2 series :-o i'm waiting on confirmation but i should get it delivered late next week.....fingers crossed.
I had the same issue, ordered 330e shadow edition in June through a lease company due in December/January. Email from the lease company after Christmas saying that the car had been pushed back to April. Turns out that it has been reallocated and is now being built from scratch. BMW have provided FOC demo vehicle (almost same spec as the car I ordered) until the actual car is delivered. As an update.... Hi all,
So my original delivery date was 12th Jan but just before I got an email saying it was delayed until end of March. Called the lease company and dealer to be told that I’ll be getting an identical car to the one I ordered on Friday but I have to return it in March for my actual car...
My guess is that someone in sales has had the bright idea to get two sales out of one person. My first car will be sold off cheap when I return it so they get to add an extra sale to their chart.
Not very impressed with the way they won’t give me any reasons for all the messing about but if I’m getting my car on time then will be getting a new one after the new registration number then I can’t complain too much...
Anyone else having a similar experience with some more info?

Nothing I wanted to change because I’m limited to what I’m allowed (company car), I’ve hit the max options value. I’ll quiz them a bit more to find out some more details on Friday, just think it’s strange behaviour to give me the car they built for me only for them to replace it in 2.5 months. It can’t be profitable for anyone except the sales team. I’ll continue to vent frustration because it’s a hassle and I do feel I should be compensated in some way. Although I’ll have the car I’ll know it isn’t “my” car, then when the novelty of having the 330e has worn off, “my” car will arrive. Sounds silly I know but I feel like I’m kinda cheated out of the new car experience with this being my first ever new car. Most expensive car I’ve had until now was a £1500 e46 330i (great car by the way).

I’d read that back and then stop moaning. It’s a company car so it’s not yours
You’re getting two new cars not one... double the new car experience.
And you feel ‘cheated’? Why do you feel you want compensation for being give a 67 plate this week then having it swapped for a 18 plate not long after they come out? There’s nothing like a reg change to take the shine off a new car.

I think you’re right, I think it’s just the face I went from excited for getting in last week to miserable it was delayed to excited to getting it Friday again. I’d still rather just then give me the car I ordered and that be the end of it though.
The downside I see is you’ll have a longer running period as you’ll be running in two cars, so twice as long until you can properly floor it...bmwphever said:

Have ordered the 330e Shadow Edition, went and test drove a 5 series and felt it was just too big, the wife would never drive it so I would always be designated driver Hope I've made the right decision... I felt the 19" rims, plus runflats, plus M Sport suspension would just be too harsh, so took the no-cost option to delete M Sport suspension, will hopefully make it a bit softer. Most times I will have 2 kids in the back, I won't be chucking it into corners much any more
Just hope deleting the M Sport suspension doesn't increase the ride height, could find nothing online about it.

Somebody plugged in for 42 mins and has taken 0.5kwh which would move them about 1.5 miles.
