I googled this but found nothing so I though you guys might be able to help.
Since the beginning of the year I've had this display twice, the first time I thought it was a random thing and didn't worry but it did it again today so maybe its the start of a problem, both times it cleared when the car was stopped and restarted.
I think I had the same when the battery was low and all electrics on etc. Have also had a couple of random cases of the EML coming on but it goes out after a day or so.Since the beginning of the year I've had this display twice, the first time I thought it was a random thing and didn't worry but it did it again today so maybe its the start of a problem, both times it cleared when the car was stopped and restarted.

Hi not trying to hijack this thread but just joined the 330e fraternity.
Placed order yesterday for an M Sport Shadow Edition in Sunset Orange Metallic as the only option box ticked. Just waiting now to hear lead time.
Sounds like a lovely spec you have there.... Hope you enjoy your 330e as much as me Placed order yesterday for an M Sport Shadow Edition in Sunset Orange Metallic as the only option box ticked. Just waiting now to hear lead time.
What sort of driving will you be doing? Mainly town or lots of longer journey's?

It is a company car for the BIK saving. Most of my journeys are mixed roads probably between 35 to 60 mile each way. Some longer motorway journeys as well but company reimburses me for my fuel spend (less personal miles). Will try and do most personal miles now on battery. What sort of driving will you be doing? So I went on my first long journey in my 330e last month... From Wolverhampton to Ambleside in the Lake district... Starting with a full battery and pre-conditioning this was my mpg
That looks great. That's the sort of economy I was hoping for but took a gamble anyway and ordered one after looking at real world figures submitted by 330e owners on Fuelly.tomo2001 said:

Yeah I was surprised about the mpg although I wasn't pushing too hard and trying to coast on downward sections of the M6... I think realistically on long motorway runs at 70+ would see mid to high 40's mpg...still not bad for a 1700kg 2.0L petrol..!!I regularly visit friends in Tamworth from Wolves which is a 71 mile round trip and in the summer I could get around 60mpg average over the 71 miles, last time I went I averaged 56.
If you charge at home it depends on how much your tariff charges...ours is 12p pKW/h...so a full battery charge costs 93p...if I get 15miles EV range its the equivalent of about 75mpg I think.

Christ a 330d would have smashed that out of the park. A 535d LCI F10 would mirror that.
My 430d never got near that— in three years I averaged 40mpg. Never saw more than 50mpg on a 200 mile trip.330e currently averaging 55mpg but not many long journeys. The one longer trip I managed 43mpg.
nearly £200pm less in tax is the real benefit though

I’ve owned the vastly less economical 231bhp 330d with 6 speed box and smashed those numbers.
Likewise I’ve driven the F30 330d and know what it can do as I’ve achieved it- likewise some I know run them too which are at odds to what you post.
Heck there is even a thread in the BMW section about the economy of it with some posting into the 74mpg (for the whole trip and brim to brim being accurate).

I think you are missing the point of why people have these cars (I would say buy but nobody does) as they reduce our company car tax, not to drive along at 56mph trying to get another .1 MPG.
Way earlier in the thread we had folk driving with a jacket on so they could switch the climate control off and save battery power for mpg A battery that will take you for the weekly shop then need plugged in.bmwphever said:
Each to their own I say...
I did find that particular scenario funny tbh and I just remembered it when reading south tdf's post. The thought of spending approx £40k for a 250hp 330e then worrying like hell about a miniscule mpg saving cracks me up. But I absolutely agree, each to their own 100%. Apologies.

If mileage matters a diesel is still better, and if you can really utilise the EV side of a 330e then you really don’t need a car like that at all, just a Leaf, Note or similar commuting toy.
