I'd ordered sunset orange standard car but it got stopped as lease company thought the price increase was active now. After confirming from BMW that the price increase is from tomorrow I had to change to solid paint anyway as the price of the car has gone up due to the inclusion now of split folding rear seats. My order now if it goes through is white shadow edition with comfort pack

Been following this discussion since Nov 2017 when I was asked to order my new company car through LeasePlan. I currently have a 520D but couldn't ignore the BIK savings that the 330e could offer.

I ordered the 330e shadow edition with a bunch of options and given a delivery date of mid March. Unfortunately 2 weeks ago I was given the news that LeasePlan had ordered the car with the wrong BMW dealer, the car was then cancelled and re-ordered with the preferred dealer meaning that i've lost my place in the build queue, despite my moans and a promise that the car will be ordered as a VIP order, I still haven't received any build numbers nor proposed build dates.

After reading the latest posts on the forum I'm worried that I will never get the car frown

Keep up the good work guys.

White shadow edition will look sweet, I could only get the shadow edition as a 318d or 320d but couldn’t warrant the extra tax, might be pushed into it if I can’t get a build slot.

If I can’t get the 330e it’s a 320d M Sport Shadow Edition Auto for me which will unfortunately cost me an additional £120 p/month in tax which I won’t be looking forward to but can’t face having a Mondeo or Passat for 4 years
My alternative was new Volvo XC40. Went to launch night this week but no news on PHEV version yet. If not 330e dont know which way to go as wanted BIK saving.
Hope you can get one, mines been ordered today, hoping to get one of the last remaining build slots.....
What did you make of the xc40? One went past me yesterday and thought it looked ok, had heard the hybrid will be a 3 cylinder and close to the 330e power, very different proposition but having been in my old mans new xc60 it may not be a bad place to spend time. The only downside is the pricing of the existing hybrids in Volvo range is bonkers so if they get that wrong it’s also out the window.

lease plan are an absolute joke. they were caught over charging us after we went direct to the dealer. Hang tight. If its an option i would try and go around them and place the order straight on the dealer. may work if the company isnt too larger.

Dealer called just, when they went to PDI it they realised BMW had put the standard 17in wheels on not the 18in ones as ordered, they have had to order in then await swap over, should be here the next few weeks....

What they actually mean is they ordered it incorrectly! Ask for a copy of their order to factory. I had the same and it showed the dealer missed off the option.

XC40 has the worst C pillars you could imagine. Volvo promote safety and all their driving assistance gadgets but the car certainly needs them.

It all seems a little strange as they could in theory order the wheels in and get them swapped in a few days, they would normally book a delivery for up to 2 weeks ahead so not sure the need for them to avoid me for a week then tell me this story, I asked if they were on back order and they are not so realistically no need to tell me just book the delivery and swap over.

She did say she has never known this happen in 17 years...

I enquired yesterday about ordering another 330e and have been told I can have one for June but I need to confirm the spec ASAP as there are only a few amendable build slots left. I was told production is stopping due to a change in batteries which has already halted Mercedes and VW PHEV orders combined with the new 3 Series in October.

Now thinking I should wait and see if the new 3 Series has better range.
Was told yesterday by BMW that there are only 200 build slots left.
Looks like mixed messages from the BMW dealers, I’ve been told I won’t be able to get onef
I was told the same I wanted the shadow edition my lease end in September so needed to order now so I’ve gone for the 530e.

The new 330e is suppose to be 2 engines 1.5 that will do 30mile or 2.0 that will do 50mile on electric and a all electric 3 series that will do 300 but that’s not out till 2020

Has anyone had a note on the bottom of their log book saying "vehicle list price is over £40,000 so will be subject of extra VED" or something similar?

Been having an issue with BMW Uk on this one for months now. My 330e, with all the options, delivery, VAT, etc etc comes to £39,000 at list. The dealer has sent all the invoice paperwork to the DVLA and BMW UK but its been dragging on now since September.

I'd be interested to know if I'm not alone with this one, the dealership where I bought the car said its a new one on them.

Hi Steve, I ordered my 330e on the 8th Feb through Lex Autolease, Estoril Blue M Sport with black leather with blue trim and Hex with Matt Blue interior. Order has been confirmed and acknowledged with delivery 11 July 18. I’m currently driving a 3 Series GT which has so much room with a hatchback, but getting so expensive to run, it’s no longer on the list to chose from. The 330e ticks all the boxes (except the hatchback) luckily it now comes with split rear seats and the extended storage and lighting but with an increase in the cost... I had previously specced up my order in Jan 18, but the car was removed from the list, then reintroduced on 8th Feb.

Looking forward to getting the new one in the summer. At least my Thule aero roof bars will still fit the new one, I think I’m gonna need a roof box for my surfing trips to Cornwall 😬
