Mine went into the dealer for a coolant top up yesterday and they exchanged my plug with an new style one.
The difference is the new one can fit in an outside socket flush as they have changed the plug.
Edited to add different recall to above

Im thinking about buying a 2nd hand 330e. Im doing my research but wondering if anyone could please point me to a buyers guide or things to look out for?
The car within my budget will probably be 2016/17 reg. Is a warranty necessary, if yes where to get one from?
Also trying to find the difference between SE, Sport and M-Sport. Visually SE & Sport look very similar is there difference?
Thanks

Guess you’ve done your own research about suitability of range and your own daily commute. But I can say for me it’s a perfect balance of performance when required, and economy. I do 22 miles a day of which 9 is dual carriageway. I tend to do about 12 miles on electric which leaves some left over when I get from work. At the moment in the cold winter temps I’m getting between 14 and 16 miles, back in the summer it was more like 18-20...
There are not too many things over and above a regular 3 series to look out for in a second hand model, just beware that if the electric range is looking low, it’s quite possible the last owner didn’t drive too economically, and this will adjust for the better if you drive it a bit less enthusiastically! I’d recommend buying AUC for the years warranty as not only do they make sure the battery health is no less than a certain percentage (and if it is it’s completely replaced).
I’d say a good warranty after this is crucial. You have the drivetrain and high voltage battery covered for 6 years from new I believe - but the charging unit onboard (KLE) is not covered and they’ve had a few problems with early revisions of that unit. And they are not cheap at a few grand replacement. But from what I’ve read even out of warranty BMW tend to help with goodwill so you probably wouldn’t stand the entire cost. However for me I’m looking at the BMW insured warranty for peace of mind.
SE and sport look very similar - think it’s mainly some interior trim and alloys I think, perhaps others can help there... If you want the maximum range though you’re best off with 17 inch alloys - I managed to find a high spec SE which suits me perfectly. Larger wheels and M Sport configurations look better but will be slightly less efficient.
All in all a fantastic car that does 6 seconds 0-60 when you want it to, and even with my daily commute and charging at work and at home, upwards of 900 miles per tank.
Any other questions you have I’ll try and help. Think the 67 is the latest one you’ll find, though there may be some 18 plates - it was discontinued when they were developing the new 330e and the tests changed from NEDC to WLTP.

M-Sport is worth holding out for, from memory LED headlights, 3 spoke steering wheel is much nicer, bodykit, 18” alloys, leather (heated was an option). Worth checking early cars for front tyre edge wear, for the first year many cars wore their front tyres out before the rears. The car within my budget will probably be 2016/17 reg. Is a warranty necessary, if yes where to get one from?

Can't advise on warranty, but having AUC warranty must provide peace of mind covering the electric drive train.
I have a Sport since September 2017 and the only thing that has gone wrong was the aforementioned KLE charging unit that failed in June 2018 and replaced under warranty.
You get Sport seats in a Sport over the SE, gloss black interior trim over satin silver, 17 inch alloys with run flat tyres vs 16 inch non-run flats.
From a practical point of view, look for a car with folding rear seats, which I think became standard in the run out 2018 cars.
With this I could enter into Central London without having to pay the Congestion Charge and also park in Westminster for 81p.

Also worth noting that the standard spec is very good for the 330e. I didn’t look for a trim level in particular - the deal breaker for me was age and mileage. Apart from the non sports seats, although heated, it’s pretty much that trim level on spec, and I think you’ll nearly always get pro nav and front/rear sensors and a configurable display in the speedo BMW call a full black panel.
In other words, you’ll find it easy to find a nicely specced car for not a great amount of £££s more. Happy shopping!!

Good evening all
Just took delivery of my 330e today, and have a question that I can't find a definitive answer to regarding the home charger; is it okay to have outside in the rain? I have read conflicting remarks saying it's IP44 or IP55, and "yes it's fine - just put it under your wheel arch" or similar. I can't do that, my outdoor socket is by the front door in the porch so fine, but the charging box is exposed to the elements.
It looks pretty weatherproof, but if anybody could set my mind at ease I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance!

We're considering a 330e as the wife's daily as she now works from home permanently and 90% of her trips are <5 miles. There are a couple of things I've got questions about:
Remaps - are all the 330e's good candidates for a remap? I was today years old when I learned they have the same engine as the 330i - or do some come with hit and some don't and how do you confirm you have the 'right' one?
Charging - we have a 16A feed to my detached garage which would be the supply for a charger - will this be adequate? The driveway is shared of sorts and is block paved. If a beefier supply is needed - is there a way of getting this done on the cheap, ie. with grants or assistance etc?

We have a new 330e, not sure on remap but don't see why you would want it as its got great power when it all kicks in!Remaps - are all the 330e's good candidates for a remap? We had a charger fitted from bp with the £350 grant so cost £550 as I have a Tesla on order, this charges the 330e in about 3 hours, if you use the standard plug it takes about 5 hours.
As for the whole package its fantastic!

As for the remap - it sounds like the performance increase is almost on offer for free if it's just a remap away.
Anyone with an F30, what is your E-drive range ? I am getting a mysteriously high 27 miles of range on my 67 plate (M Sport with 18” and runflats, if that makes a difference). Thought it was BS so tested it out on a mixed drive (A-road, B road, motorway, local road) journey of about 20 miles and it still seemed to have quite a bit of juice in it when I got back, even with heating/Ac on so I reckon it seems to be managing a realistic 24-25 miles ? It seems to be fluctuating every day between 22 and 27 miles in these climates.
I have noticed the range seems to dip a bit when using heating/ pre conditioning
Ignore the petrol range, it rarely sees a petrol station as I use EV for basically everything!
