He is using Ambien, alcohol and weed so I'm not surprised his behaviour is erratic

This is why Tesla isn’t going anywhere in the minds of people and investors. Imagine anyone doing this for any other car company. The cult pull of Musk is powerful

While the fans helping shows loyalty, it also shows what a gap Tesla have in their supply chain and retail outlets that they can't support the volume. Just how many of those are going to need warranty work that can't be done anytime soon, or the queues at super chargers? There's a fine line sometimes to getting all the bits balanced.

It's just branding.

No other car company has achieved it to this level.

Really? I would suggest there are many other brands more readily more widely recognisable than Tesla. And with just as committed followings.

This, IMO, is just a reaction from evangelistic owners who want to preach the gospel.

Incidentally, the very last way I’d want a new car delivering to me would be by some random ‘enthusiast’ driving it to me. Especially if he’s then going to bore the arse off me with the sermon according to Elon.

Indeed. But certainly smaller brands have had the client loyalty to have done something similar. TVR being one where current owners would have helped new owners. This is further evidence of the cultural envelope that Tesla is at as it transitions from small manufacturer to major. It’s certainly nice to see in this day and age.

That's not really comparing like for like. TVR was a glorified kit car maker churning their product out in a shed. Ah... point taken.

Oh Rob. Still getting confused with pre-orders and how to interpret the data. wink

Have you wondered why the prediction ends at Y2?

The crucial data that we all need is the monthly new sales since the S became available. That’s the data, along with overseas sales projections, that will allow a genuine attempt at extrapolation.

Objectively, all that diagram really shows is that the take up of EVs has to date been truly dismal. And you can’t really expect that to really change until an EV has a competitive advantage over its peers at the sub premium end of the market, at which point you’d expect sales to go stratospheric.

Here is the filing

Take a look at the end of p21 and p22

Am I reading it right that the Sec seems to want musk banned from being an officer of listed companies?

I’d read it that way yes.
