Nope otherwise I wouldn’t have asked. It tells you ampage and about asking a qualified electrician. I assume that a normal socket is capable of the max but wanted to see if others had used.
The manual says the transformer limits the current to that stamped on the cable. The cable supplied with mine suggests 10amps, so a normal socket should comfortably handle that.

Took delivery of mine earlier today and on Max it reckons around 5 hours for a full charge.

Had mine for a couple of weeks now and I’ve been charging mine on max using the 3 pin in my garage via an extension lead. I was a bit wary for the first couple of days and I was out checking regularly for signs of overheating but no issues so far. Takes around 3 and a half hours to charge fully.

Ta guys. With the Rolec are the tethered options supplied with cable? If it’s £199 for tethered rather than £149 without is it better to maybe get that? Mine will be piece of piss as I’ve done most of the work already so may opt for this as 2hrs is pretty sweet. No idea on mpg but trouble did first commute this morning in full battery which is about 12-14 trip and battery didn’t quite do full job but it was close. Hopefully she can eek out a little but once used to it.

Took delivery of my 225xe M Sport a few days ago. as I was technically downgrading my company car, I ordered it with almost every conceivable extra...well all the main packs anyway. Annoyingly, I missed the roof rails for a poxy £170!

I have driven a 520d MSport Tourer for the last 5 years so 98% of the buttons are the same, and largely in the same place.

I have the pano roof and estoril blue. Lovely car. I got it principally because of the current tax breaks, and I know some of my colleagues have never plugged theirs in the mains. The 3 cylinder petrol is great. I personally wish the leccy engine would do 50+ miles as I love having that mix of power. It's really weird driving with almost zero noise arounbd town though.

However, I have one small problem. There are 3 USB charging ports in the arm rest console, that the user guide calls "USB charging ports", but no cable I have in my possession will come close to fitting into the said port. BMW themselves thought I was some sort of imbecile when I phoned them.

Please put me out of my misery and help me out with this.

Thanks my friend, it's been doing my nut!

Would imagine most of the Total Motion cars coming frm the same dealer. Mine is a VX68 too... not white though.

Mine too. I believe Cotswold BMW was the supplier for all the Total Motion deals - apparently over 450 225xe's

I am still getting a hang on the different modes - sport, comfort , ecoplus - - and then the separate edrive modes, which can be further modified..

the heating and cooling system , demisters too - prob need to go thru the manual booklet.

even though I only do about 12 miles daily - I am charging every night to get to 100%

looks like it. My whole unit is plugged into an outlet I put on the side of my garage. So I hope so.
