Usually there would be an oil service after 12 months. Would assume same here - £100 ish on my current Golf.

My 3 series diesel was around 18k on variable or 2 years. I’m pretty sure I asked about these and it was v similar. I don’t think we will need to service at all on 8k/yr.

Just to be 100 percent sure, road tax is not payable by us (the customer)?
It's included. Confirmed by Total Motion in my finance docs.

Government is cutting all grants for phev s from 12 November. Any impact on our orders here?

Agree on the servicing 18k miles or 2 years, so unless you are going way over the 8k pa then shouldn’t need a service.

Seen that too about the reduction in government grant and wondered if it would have an impact, fingers crossed it doesn’t!!

Good news, just had an email from Phil at Total Motion confirming that the changes to grants announced yesterday for electric vehicles will NOT put our prices up as the grant has already been processed and applied. 👍

Hopefully subsidies on home charge points won’t be affected, anybody know?

it's surely on the cards to knock this on the head soon. I'm putting an order in this week with via ChargeEV. They are bloody ugly but nicer than Rolec and just as cheap. Anyone else?

It was due review this month and they also mentioned in last policy document that they would endeavor to give as much notice as possible.

Not sure what their intentions are but the PiCG with just 30 days notice is pretty poor considering it's a large purchase decision. I suspect charger grants will be similar or less notice.

I paid £50 deposit to my installer and asked him to hold off until I'm ready for installation, nearer the time of car delivery so I can maximise warranty.

How does it work with an installer? Do I need to show evidence of ownership of an electric car before placing an order? My estimated delivery isnt until 26 November, so not sure when I will be supplied a VIN to use as evidence of ownership

Just show them a confirmed order that needs to confirm your name and address and that that teh vehicle will be available for you to use with within 4 months and that you will have use of it for at least 12 months.
Basically I just showed my Total Motion order confirmation.

Hi, I’ve got a 225xe on order from Total Motion which is due to arrive at the dealer on the 25th this month but so far haven’t had any docs or finance forms to sign. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Worth giving them a quick call I'd say. The one I ordered for the wife has now arrived at the dealer this week. I got my finance forms emailed through about 10 days before it was due at the dealer (it arrived with them pretty much when they said it would). I think generally they try to send finance forms 14 days before to tie in with cooling off period.

Hi, I'd be interested to know the day yours arrived at dealer, when they first contacted you and the earliest date they could offer to deliver it.

Would help me plan for mine which is due delivery at dealer on 29th Oct. I don't want to wait around until then.
I need to arrange installation of my charger and also arrange insurance, which might be an amendment to existing policy or cancel and start a new one

Was contacted on 18th October to let me know the car was at the dealer and to arrange delivery. Not sure exactly which day the car got to dealer, but was lead to believe it was in that week. First delivery date I was offered was 31st October, which is no problem for me as need time to arrange collection of current lease car.

I use a 10amp extension lead and it’s fine but have it set to medium charge rate

Car has arrived at the dealers and delivery has been confirmed for 8th November.

Haven't decided on getting a rolec charger fitted or just getting a leccy round to fit an external plug socket...

Hi All,

Some advise please. My parents signed up to this 1+17, £229.

They got a message from Total today for the direct debit and the price now doesn't reflect the quote. They want £229 as first payment and remaining payments are £299. Seems the guy they originally dealt with no longer works there and original price was a mistake!? I believe its been left with Total investigating this, parents will just pull out if the price does go up.

Anyone else had this? Seems a bit of a one-off, I'd imagine these forums would be going crazy otherwise!?

Help, advice, experience to the contrary appreciated.

Thanks.
