The I-Pace isn't small. It'll seat tall adults in the rear comfortably, and has room in the boot for my longsword (long story)
I'd be all over this if I hadn't just ordered a Santander V90, although I suspect it'll be pricey at the 10k miles mark.
I had a poke about one at Burghley a couple of weeks back. They are compelling to say the least. Although, the seats seemed to be rather 'inboard' - if you can imagine that: a large gap between their shoulders and the b-pillars. I'd be all over this if I hadn't just ordered a Santander V90, although I suspect it'll be pricey at the 10k miles mark.

I’ve taken the deal. 9+17 for £350 per month for the SE version.
What sort of mileage is that on?Edited by Witchfinder on Sunday 16th September 20:20
With careful sculpting and black colouring of the sills, they've done a really good job of hiding the mass of the battery pack...

Order placed for the 1+17 deal. Delivery in March or April next year. Will be an interesting contrast to move from an XFR-S to the iPace! Pity it is (relatively) poverty spec, especially the 18" wheels, but I feel the need to give the EV revolution a go. By the time the lease expires there should be a much wider range of other alternatives, and hopefully the competition will drive prices down, including the iPace.
I've also gone for the deal, largely for the same reasons. I can't get excited as I used to about the blingy options and have been disappointed with the latest car tech on the last 2 Audis I've had. The S will do fine.mike74 said:
People who can't afford to buy cars outright can't really grumble about ''poverty spec'' to be fair... beggars (and credit junkie paupers) can't be choosers.
As someone who is not in any of the categories disparagingly referred to I can only assume Mike and his money are easily parted. jjwilde said:

It would be crazy to pay cash for this car when this mad deal is available. Like I can't see how paying cash could possibly make sense here at all. Jag will be losing money on this, but I guess they figure putting a few thousand of these on the road and getting people (us) talking about it is worth it in the long run.

I have also placed an order - seemed almost too easy.
Timing coincides with the return of a my wife's Leaf Tekna 30 which was on a 2 year PCP @ 24 x £198pm. I-Pace costs double, but should be twice the fun.
It's certainly twice the car the leaf is!Timing coincides with the return of a my wife's Leaf Tekna 30 which was on a 2 year PCP @ 24 x £198pm. I-Pace costs double, but should be twice the fun.
Well done on a pretty sweet upgrade!

A couple of the reviews I've seen say that the smaller wheels are preferable in terms of how the car drives and the ride quality. Maybe something to consider when picking a spec if there isn't otherwise much difference between the models.
I guess that applies to almost any car but is possibly more significant in a 2.2 tonne one. charltjr said:

From the quotes I got the SE would have been an additional £2100 over the 18 month term. For me there wasn't enough difference to justify that price gap.On the smaller wheels, this doesn't surprise me. Our non-electric car is a C63 estate. I deliberately sought one out with the smaller 18" wheels as I could really notice the difference in ride on the 19"s. Perhaps I am a driving god after all.
Funnily enough I often choose to drive the Leaf over the C63 - especially for the very short journeys or when it's cold. In part it's to keep the miles off the Merc, but also because i quite enjoy driving it - down to the electric motor characteristics more than anything else. If the I Pace is as good as I anticipate, it may be the beginning of the end of ICE on our driveway.

It's an interesting point of view since you know nothing about me at all. This was the only spec on offer with this deal and the term was used tongue in cheek. Why don't you head back into your hole underground and count your money.wilwak said:
I’m sure this is a stupid question but would a BMW i8 charging unit be compatible with the I Pace?
I already have the I8 unit and have no experience of charging anything else!
Looks like some amazing deals on the I Pace. I was looking at one today. Nice!
Thanks.
