iPace currently available for £400/month wow!!
Discussion
I'm not a fan of Android Auto. Never really got along with it. A lot depends on how well it has been implemented. The updated I-Pace has the much better infotainment which allows OTA updates. The base S also comes with 19" wheels now - I know I've said it before, but those 18s look like they came off a mid-90s Mondeo. I believe it also has improved charging and battery management (although the charging improvement is for faster AC charging, which hardly anyone can take advantage of anyway).
Anyway, the absolute cheapest I-Pace on Autotrader is £45k, but most are £50k+. A new one via CarWow was around £58k last time I checked.

When do we reckon all these expiring lease cars are going to hit dealer forecourts? Second hand I-Pace prices have resolutely resisted doing below £45k for over six months now.
All EV used prices are static at the moment, used X prices are stuck £50k for even early cars, Leaf prices are going UP still at the bottom end .Unsurprising in a way when the new Corsa is over £30k with decent spec and the eNiro is £36k.
A sub £45k used iPace is already 'good value' in comparison and if prices dropped to £40k it would be an absolute steal.

MX 75D 2017 are down 10k on this t8me last year and 20k on 2 years ago. Pretty much the same as the 100D. A P100D is down 35k over 2 years.Unsurprising in a way when the new Corsa is over £30k with decent spec and the eNiro is £36k.

Your definition of static and mine is somewhat different

The cheapest X about 6 months ago was £50k and its still seems to about £50k. Thats pretty static to me.Similarly iPace prices at holding at the £45k mark, and your struggle to get a Leaf for under £8k.

Has anyone contacted Jaguar in relation to extending their deal?
Is the monthly cost staying the same?
Yes, I spoke with them.Is the monthly cost staying the same?
You have two options i) ask for a formal extension - the cost goes up by around £100 / month for a 12 month extension ii) use the "informal extension" provision within the original contract which allows you to pay the same price on a rolling month by month basis.
I'm going for the informal option. Cost and mileage allowance stays the same. Plus you can keep the car and hand it back pretty much whenever you like. I plan to keep the car for another year beyond the end of the initial 18 month lease (which happens in September). But if something interesting comes along in the meantime, it is easy to just hand it back.

I think I might know running the biggest inventory site in the world with a million data points. The prices year on year are falling by 10k
So what was the cheapest X for sale in Jan 2020 versus now, and iPace? Our X was £71k invoiced March 2017, by your figures of £10k a year deprecation it should be valued at sub £40k, so where is a used X for under £40k on your database?

Trend for a 2017 MX 75D
Can you spot the cyclical trends on prices?. Gangs argument is not year on year comparisons, he's picking generally depressed winter sales figures with peak summer values post covid.
Isn't that exactly what's been discussed for the last 6 months many used EV prices are holding static. Infact your graph would suggest for even the last 8 months. Can you spot the cyclical trends on prices?. Gangs argument is not year on year comparisons, he's picking generally depressed winter sales figures with peak summer values post covid.
Cheapest iPace has been £45kish since the start of the year, am sure price will fall over the next 6 months, but how long will it be before we see sub £40k iPaces?? I wouldn't hold my breath on one. Equally a sub £40k X, certainly doesn't look possible anytime soon.

Having a quick play on the "we buy any car" website, a Tesla Model X 2017 with 40000 miles and one owner is worth £38180.00 so Johnny's figures seem spot on to me.
Seriously whats WBAC prices got to do with some looking to buy an used iPace??Johnnys figures are spot on some EVs haven't depreciated at all in the last 6 months. If you can find an used 75D X or iPace for sub £40k buy it.

Nothing like swapping apples for orangesWhere can you buy one for that price ?
I was just stating what they are really worth.

What any car is really worth after 3 years is max 50% of purchase value. So for our over 3 years old 75D X it should be around £35k retail and £30k trade in. I was just stating what they are really worth.
An iPace should also follow the same rule at 3 years old.
Like I've said if you can buy a 3 year old Model X for £35k or an 2 year old iPace for £40k go for it!

If you look at the cheapest Model X on AT it's £49,985
2 owners, 65,000 miles
If i put that into WBAC:
and one with 27,000 miles (still a 2017) is £50,550 on WBAC

I just picked a random Model X from autotrader
I've removed the reg number as I don't think it's fair.
