Having been in a couple of Tesla's I find them quite fascinating, a car re-imagined with new Tech.

There are some odd things about these cars, one of them being when they get badly damaged they are not allowed to be repaired, or at least not outside the Tesla network.

These USA videos have some non Telsa network salvage dudes buying damaged Teslas, taking them apart and try to get them back on the road:

Note, some of the parts are not available to buy or even repair (so they say).
Apparently salvage prices of damaged ones have gone a bit crazy maybe in part due to them not wanting them to be released to the wider spares/salvage sector?

these clips relate to a flood damaged Tesla:

It’s an odd one this, as Tesla will sell the parts for repairs to be conducted by others (albeit at a crazy price)

I only know as a friends large iron gazebo frame took off in some wind a few months ago and skewed his neighbours P90d - through the roof and bonnet, all glass popped and lots of trim and paint damage. Repaired by a local engineering company as per of a cash repair, no insurance involvement at all. The parts took a few weeks to get hold of and the bill was pretty spectacular (or ludicrous wink )

Nearly every Tesla I've encountered had a knob on the driver's seat. As for what else is inside.......?

How hard are parts from written off cars to source in the UK.. I was getting excited about perhaps doing this to a spare Alfa GTJunior
