Almost a week into using the i3. App has been faultless (iPhone), and the car is great. whole package is a great solution without long term commitment. 13A charging slow, found an advertised 7KW charger (pod point) but in reality it runs at 3KW so not filling up while shopping, just need to get into the mentality of seeing a charger and topping up . But let's not forget it's free. At this rate ~I'll get a month of a brand new car with no fuel costs, run into central London for no extra cost for £350. Very hard to argue against it (so far - will change my tune if it gets a scratch in a car park). Highly worth giving it a go. ooh, and if you do...code is ed5dc
Have you got the car set to charge at the higher rate? There are three levels, I don't know what the car comes set to by default but it might be worth checking.MaxSo said:
The slow charger does the job pretty well I think, it'd only be an issue if you get back home from a long drive with barely any charge remaining and then unexpectedly need to go on another longish drive. But even then it depends where you live and how far away the nearest rapid charger is. There's a couple of rapids 5 mins away from my home (one Polar - so free), so if I arrive home with say 10% left, I could just scoot over there and be back up to 90% in about 40 mins I reckon.
I reduced my battery to about 28% today. plugged it in at 6:30pm says it will be at 100% by 8:30am tomorrow on the 3 pin charger.Durzel said:

The spec seems to differ slightly, as far as the i3 is concerned. One guy on the SpeakEV forum got the standard wheels, for example. The turbines are a cost option (which I prefer, but beggars / choosers, etc).
The 429 turbines are the standard wheel on 120Ah model. There's another type of turbine (428) that are a £125 option.Edited by Durzel on Thursday 18th April 11:44
The ugly wheels that used to be standard on the i3 before the 120Ah model came out are a no-cost option.

It's the 428s that I saw on an Evezy i3 up in Lichfield a couple of weeks ago. Pretty sure it was the 12Ah because it was a 19 plate, and white etc.

I'd have assumed that was mine as we are Lichfield based and have a 19 plate 120ah + haven't seen another locally. It's got the 429's though not the 428's.
It was at a Morrisons near to a large kids park, around midday on Saturday I think. I was pretty excited to see it given I'd only just signed up myself Durzel said:

Yep, definitely mine. We live about 2 minutes from there down by the Cathedral.
I was more excited than an adult man should be to jog over to your car to have a look. A friend and I were coincidentally walking to Morrisons, I was talking about the scheme and the car and it was a case of "there's one!... the one I'm getting looks exactly like that... I wonder if.."
We were looking around your car for about 5 minutes (didn't touch it ). Both of us were very impressed, particularly my mate who I was the reason I was up in Lichfield, he thought they were much smaller than they are.
EDIT: It does prove I need my eyes tested re: alloys though

They're a lot more spacious for occupants inside than you would ever think, I'm 6.4" and have 3 teenagers all of which are approaching 6ft and we all fit in fine.
The boot really is tiny though due to the battery placement, fine for a few bags of shopping and that's about it. I will say though with the 50/50 split fold seat half down we managed to get 2 golf bags in last weekend with 3 occupants so unless you're regularly carrying 4 it's still very useable.
A few things I didn't realise before:
1. Some cars that can charge above 50kW only do so for the early part of the charge, and if the battery is at least 3/4 empty.
On the other hand, the e-tron seems to be capable of maintaining 150kW until 80%...
2. The current model Nissan Leaf appears to give up rapid charging after only 60%.
And one thing I did know but the graph corroborates is that the 120Ah i3 can maintain about 50kW charging until about 90%.

Just picked up my i3. Evezy were an hour late delivering it, and my subscription payment was taken 4 days early due to the bank holiday, so am hoping my mileage allowance won't have actually started until I got a key for it on the app.
Brand new car, 117 miles on the clock, excellent condition inside and out. Very happy. About 65% charge when I picked it up, and I've just stuck it on a local Polar charger (RFID card worked as expected). All in all a very smooth experience.
There was a blue BMW cable in the rear boot that was just in a bag and had already been used, I guess for the charge when it was delivered, but the granny charger still in the wrapping.
Will do a proper writeup later for anyone interested

So I registered at the end of last week, had to chase them 3 times to get accepted. Finally accepted after they closed yesterday
Called them this morning to try and get an i3, told I’m on a list with no idea of how long it will be or where I am on the list
Not the greatest of starts but I guess you get what you pay for

Their service can be a bit "startup" but when you are sitting in a newish i3 including charging and insurance for £399/month it will all seem worth it!Called them this morning to try and get an i3, told I’m on a list with no idea of how long it will be or where I am on the list
