Placed an order for a M3P on Monday eve.

Now up to “Awaiting contract from Tesla” stage on their portal. No mention of a delivery date...

Did some sums tonight and seriously looking to buy one. The company will pay for it as the BIK is 0 and rising to 2%. With the 100% against profits it seems a no brainer.

Was looking to buy one from stock with a little off the price but they don't appear to have any stock at all. So new it is unless someone knows different?

Questions for you experts -

1) The white premium seats - do they stain with denim etc? Just wondering if better off with black.

2) Do they still do referral codes to get free super charging? If so I would be grateful for one.

1 - dont know they seem pretty robust but older white seats have stained. Is denim still a thing?

2 - yes, order with a referral link you both get 1000 miles of free supercharging. Its not worth heaps but better than not having it.

I thought it equated to about 150 EUR.

It does expire within 6 months though.

You're right, for my model S it's closer to 320 though. Equates to about 100 EUR for the rates in france.

No free supercharging on Model 3s, but you can get 1000 free supercharger miles by using someone's referral code. I'll let someone else do the honours if they haven't already smile

Regards the white seats, they do get blue dye on them if you wear jeans (like everything else) but they seem to be hard wearing and blemishes can be removed pretty easily with baby wipes I'm told. The issue I think with dyeing is the seams, which are unlikely to be able to be cleaned of it.

I went with white seats because I just thought it looked better (got a blue car), but I also haven't worn jeans in the car once. I actually ended up buying a pair of dark blue chinos to substitute for my normal jeans clobber when driving, that's how sad I am.

Not strictly correct depending on what you mean. There is 100% FYA but this reverses to the value of the sale price when the car goes, Over the life of the car only the depreciation is set against tax, not the purchase price, and there are strict rules on how you sell (arms length sale, fair market value etc) .

If you mean 100% of actual costs against profit then you'd be correct. Many an over zealous sales person has stated the wrong interpretation of this.

Still a good deal though, just don't want you to have any nasty surprises.

White seats are fantastic, I wear jeans but not all that much, however our car is the family wagon, my daughter is in it nearly every day and has done both number 1 and 2 in the car/getting it on the seat at various points in her life!! She also has no problems climbing into the passenger seat from the back these days, often without taking her shoes/boots off!!

But life is too short to clean cars constantly but I do an bi-annual proper clean inside with the child seat out, and I happened to do it today. I know there anxiety is about how well Tesla build quality lasts the test of time, but am not too sure there is much to be worried for the interior based on how our family wagon looking after 3 years and 36K miles.

Get some baymax eye stickers on the headrests! https://www.teepublic.com/en-gb/sticker/2100571-ba...

Out of interest... how does everyone pay for their M3??

PCP, Lease, Loan, Cash, through company? I mean I know they're relatively affordable as EVs go, but its still a mortgage payment every month if you go with the default Tesla numbers and thats for the cheap one! Nearly all the ones I see, even round the scruffy part of town are P models!

And, out of interest part II... Does anyone have any feedback about the M3 with car-seats and buggies? In particularly rear-facing car seats, which seem to gobble up more room that they ought to. My wifes car is basically a 1 seater with a rear facing child seat in it, the passenger seat has to come so far forward as to make it useless and as we're both tall, you can really only fit an 5ft nothing person behind the driver.

I know the 3 is a compact car, but it does seem quite roomy for what it is.

I'm struggling with baby seats and the low roof tbh. Just ordered a joi 360 after one two many head bumps, I don't want to risk damaging the glass etc, so hopefully side entry will help. Other than that no issues with space for the seat and no issues with behind passenger. Boot doesn't seem to hold less baby crap than our old hatchback but it's a bit more awkward sliding it in but it wouldn't put be off I'm pleasantly suprised by the boot, even takes my mtb quite easily, with the seats down and front wheel off.

I paid cash through a limited company. Didn't fancy the lease deals. Plan on keeping it. Yes lots of Ps about. I was set on a SR+ but FOMO is real. No regrets though. P- is a good bet if you can find one.
