Honestly checking what a word means in the major languages should be pretty basic product development stuff..

Take your complaint to Audi.
Indeed, in a similar vein to the MR2...

The lease prices on the e-tron 50 are very tempting. On a 24 month 5k miles, it's only 800pa more for an e-tron than an e-niro, from leasing.com numbers.

What puts me off is all the added costs for extras, as I really fancy pan roof, adaptive cruise and city sense would be good too. Having said that, the Launch edition 50 is quite well specced and seems a lot less monthly than the Launch edition 55...

I think the word is étron. Nevertheless, I agree, it's a puerile point to make.

And stop using that swear word to describe the Etron . How old are you ? 12 ?
Alternatively , invite us to play in your playground , tell us what you drive and we will continually slag off your choice of car by using equally childish names as often as we can .

So what do you drive ? Or cycle ? Or which bus do you take ?

I looked at the expensive stuff (Jag, Audi, Merc), decided against paying £800/month for a half decent spec and mileage, and was in the process of agreeing on something small/cheap as a second car and local runabout.

Now with these deals I decided to take the plunge on an e-tron given the more favourable pricing, but committed not to get caught up in the perpetual scope creep that the options list inevitably presents.

I was going to take a 50 but was offered a stock 55 at a price which was only £45/month more on the same profile. It’s totally standard with the dual leather, flat black paint etc so it’s bog standard. Even then it has memory seats, full nav, 360 Parking cams etc so not a terribly bad spec.

Looking forward to offloading some M5 mileage onto it. In theory it could pay for itself entirely in fuel savings and that’s disregarding the fact that it will be leased through the company will full tax relief.

He makes a point. Some of the puerile posting on here is cringeworthy. Endlessly restating a childish joke as if it demonstrates some subtle intelligent thought, when in reality it does exactly the opposite.

And then you find out that the ‘jokers’ are running around in embarrassing sheds or renting a car because they can’t afford to buy! That’s the real joke.

This gets pretty cringeworthy and tedious as well, to be honest.

Yep, the whole thing shouldn't have started. Yes, Audi called it a "Turd" (seriously, French is my second language so I can really not un-see it) but restating it every time is just childish and unnecessary.

At least it's not giving birth to a 911 hehegetmecoat.

How many times are some posters going to regurgitate what they think might be funny about the name as if no-one else has heard of it coffee
How's about starting a thread for dubious car names?

Could we move on please. The name of any car is about the least interesting aspect to mention or discuss, let alone repetitively.

No , wife’s car , only the second one we’ve had . Not an Audi fanboy . You still haven’t told us what you drive so I can slag that off the same way you do .....

Some cheap Aui E-Tron deals coming through. Not the best spec, but still good value:

9+23 £411.59 on 5K with a rather steep £360 fee

Got the order number from lease company, audi.co.uk shows a build week for my 50 Technik, week commencing 9th. There are some reported battery shortages on google stopping production but was expected to be a couple of days only. Obv corona virus could change all that.....

I have a 55 coming late in March just confirmed by the broker.

Spent a bit more than I wanted to but it’s got a few options (£76k p11d) and is costing £585 ex vat on 6+35 15kpa on a business lease.

Still a lot cheaper than equivalent cost/spec i-pace or merc.

What options did you go for?

I'm looking at this as a business lease too!

Wouldn't wait round, the BIK makes it crazy cheap after corp and personal tax

As its over 3 years we added comfort/sound pack (stereo and 360 cameras) and heated steering wheel. I went for the base 50 Technik as the missus company is paying, cant be too greedy wink
