Worthy of a new thread?

I just pushed the button on this:-

330e M Sport
Mineral Grey
Mocha Interior with Night Blue contrast stitching Vernasca Leather
Sun Protection Glass
Lumbar Support.

I am delighted that I managed to squeeze into an M Sport spec this time for my company car rather than my current SE. The lease company have said that orders placed today will not arrive before October and it's only going to get worse. Requested delivery for December, it may not make any difference but at least my order is in the system!

Sounds good, a number of people I know will be replacing one with the new shape so I can see order times will probably get stretched as I expect that’s the same in most companies.

I believe some dealers have created phantom orders as one of the guys in the office sent his order today and the dealer is going to amend a car for September.

To be fair when the first car came out in 2016 a few of us got them in March via this dealer so it must work for them.

Congrats. Apologies for being lazy on my part, but what's the list price and the emissions of the car you ordered?

TIA

The m sport is listed by bmw at £39,980 lol, so under the £40k ved if that is the govt figure also. 39 g/km emissions.

With my two options is came to £40.5k and was listed as 37 Co2. I specced run flat tyres, but I think they are standard on the M Sport anyway.

Run flats are not standard on the m sport this time around, the are an option. But they are added with the m sport plus pack. amongst other things, adaptive suspension is also in the m sport plus package, good to see it as an option on the 330e now.

Makes sense. I couldn't tell as there was conflicting information on the lease company web site. Run flats were listed as a no cost option, so I added them. I have them now on my current 330e and for me they are preferable to a can of gunk that doesn't always work and ruins the tyre anyway!

What lease companies are you guys companies using? I'm looking to get one as my next company car, but the lease company have said they haven't got visibility yet, and my local BMW dealer have told me they don't have finance pricing yet and can only sell the car to cash buyers?!!

Edit: panic over just rung the dealer and they can now do finance, must have only just got it since my enquiry a couple of weeks ago!

The new 330e has just appeared on our company car list now, since ordering my old 330e Sport in August 17 the list has been getting worse for choice and what you get for your allowance ... surprisingly you can now get a 330e M Sport and add packs for what my lease cost is, the company is either trying to push hybrid or BMW are supporting the new model a fair bit.

LeasePlan rates are dreadful on these.

Our list gives us the 520d / A6 Sport and almost any 320d you want, yet the 330e can only be had as an SE Pro with not a single option.

To say the sales team are unhappy is an understatement.

Hmmm. I'm trying to persuade the business of the benefits of being able to make a statement that they're incentivising sales staff to take a lower CO2 option.

Worth noting if your speaking to your management, these are the lease costs snapshot I've just taken of the lease site.

Our cars are all benchmark priced at 80k and 4 years.

330e Sport £434.81
330e Msport £434.91
330e SE £422.76
318D Msport £436.26
320D Msport £446.77

So with BIK and tax saving for the company its a no brainer what our guys are picking.....

Most interesting is the £0.10p difference between the sport and M sport models.

Brilliant.

Whoever manages our Leaseplan contract needs to shout at our account manager!

We couldn't pass these figures directly over - but they were used to point out that our deal was way out of line with the industry.

Result is that the Sport and MSport are now available - MSport can only be has as it, due to that stupid 'luxury car' VED rate, which increases monthlies by £25 / month on top of the options. Sport can be had with some bits and pieces and you can add quite a lot to the SE.

I'm going to let the dust settle and see how colleagues get on with theirs, then try to find a way to send the Lexus back to the car pool for a new recruit.

Excellent news. I'm trying to come up with a cunning plan to get mine on the second user list.

Good thing about out place is that if you take a car of the seconds list you can go a grade higher, hopeful mine would go quite quick in that respect to someone graded lower who couldn't get the "e" on a new car order leaving me free to order a newer one.

To be fair I really like my old "e". I just hate having cars for 4 years!!

4 years is too long, especially when you’re on a fleet average mileage contract, mine usually go past the 4 year mileage in 2.5-3 years, so in my last year I end up driving a car significantly more battle scarred than colleagues with smaller geography to cover.

I once hit 130k in 3 years, when we were on 75k fleet average.whoever got that at auction got a bargain as it had a new clutch and flywheel about 10k miles before it went back.

Genius say my replacement 330e is '9000 Departed Plant', all good. I am going off on holiday for 3 weeks, so it will be waiting for me when I return. M sport also, with a few bits. Specc'd the plus pack, which has most of what I need.

I’ve ordered one too as my next company car, our provider is Alphabet who advise that it should arrive in mid November - I placed the order about 2 weeks ago. We’re only allowed to add a maximum of £1,500 of options but seeing as it’s a company car I try and spend as little of my own cash as possible, so have added privacy glass and heated steering wheel.

My spec is 330e M Sport in Portimao Blue with Cognac leather.
