Good question re the brakes. When I went to m sport brakes on the 328i it had much more bite (and dust lol) than than previous standard ones as had the F30 330e after that. I assumed the G20 would be on a par but so far I am not convinced it has the same bite, although I have not done any hard braking nor paid too much attention yet in the short time with the car tbf.

The tyres will be different due to the m sport plus upgrade to 19s and run flats. But I am one of the rare breed that does not see the marmite run flats as a major negative. They are way better nowadays and even allowing for a puncture being a very rare occurrence, mobility kits are crap. Each to their own.
I had a quick look and it seems Bridgestone on the Plus pack and Pirelli on the non upgrade version - newer gen runflats seem fine to me, perhaps I won't even notice with the adaptive damping?
On the 330d I didn't get on with Bridgestone and had Kwik fit put Continental on there at the first swap out - doing 26k a year it won't take too long if the same happens lol

Does anyone else think the 330e's brakes aren't the best?

I've always thought that but once every so often when braking the car slows down and then jolts forward a bit without adjusting my foot on the brake pedal i.e. it is still applied.

Anyone else had that?
the transition from regenerative breaking to disks braking can catch you out. particularly if you've calibrated your responses to sport mode then drive in eco pro. never noticed any lurching though.
Thanks but I'm pretty sure it's not that. I'll raise this with the dealer shortly.

I’ve currently got a 66 plate 330e. Originally it was company lease, which I then bought off the lease company at a good deal.

At 3 years old I’m now thinking should I get rid?

Personal lease on new 330e appear ridiculously expensive compared to what the old 330e was.

Also I probably need to test drive one given the comments above about the new one actually not being as nice to drive as the old!

Anyone seen any decent personal lease deals?
id just had a JCW mini for a week which was the other end of emotional connection and exhileration, the new 330e didnt do it for me and decided i prefer my old one. new one is a lovely place to sit and travel in but was just missing something for me. the tesla 3SR+ works out the same cost on my lease with the individual contribution needed the same as the BIK on the 330e so nothing to split them.

My 330e was delivered on 4 October and I love it. It is beautifully put together and a massive upgrade from my Passat business edition.

I currently seem to get between 25 and 31 miles from the electric alone, nowhere near the claimed 37-41, but I appreciate test conditions are somewhat different. The Portimao Blue is a lovely colour and stands out in a field of grey, black and white cars in our work car park. Bizarrely I lost the map on the dash for about 48 hours, but all seems okay now.

Have installed the connected drive app on my phone and it's informative I suppose, but not of huge benefit. On Monday when it was very chilly and frosty, using the pre-heat option from my phone did make me feel exceptionally lazy.

A slight oddity with the app. It's informing me that my brake fluid needed to be changed in December 2001. Have queried with connected drive customer services.

My little boy (will be 3 in January) loves it. First time he saw it, he said 'it's noisy Daddy' which is his way of saying it looks like a sports car. I've only put it into extraboost mode once and put my foot down. There was a squeal from the back seat and my little boy said 'again Daddy, again.' Well, I had to oblige.

I haven't had the car a month yet, this is my first BMW and I absolutely love it.

Sounds like it's going well for you, ours comes in to stock (according to Lex) on Monday so hopefully the next week or so we should get it delivered.

We had one delivered in our office a few weeks ago and it did the same. The driver has had to take it into the dealer. I haven't seen him since to find out the outcome.

My car should have been built around now, due for delvery beginning of December. 26 days and counting then biggrin

Slight issue with my 330e. Not significant, but just wondered if anyone has any ideas?

The map in the driver display keeps disappearing and it seems completely random. I'm guessing it's a fault, but I wondered if there's a setting that might affect this. I can't find anything though.

Any advice appreciated.

Back to the dealer - take a video of it if you can so you can show them

Do you have apple carplay?

Different BMW but it prefers to try and use one on the phone (in my case waze) rather than the BMW one

If you think that’s good, try a six cylinder one. Night and Day.

Just took delivery of one too. Quick question, with the pre heat on the connected app, is there no way to turn the heated seats on too?

I set mine to preheat for the first time this morning, it turned on the heated wheel but not the seats

Can this be overcome by making sure the heated seats are left on when you last turn the car off?

Not being able to remotely start the heated seats seems to be a massive oversight. Even my diesel Volvo does that and was toasty warm when I got in this morning smile

Well, mine arrived on Monday bang on time, I'm very happy with it. I'm Just getting to grips with it now, it's quite a change from the old model. Electric range indicated 24 miles this morning with the climate off but having pre-heated through the app. I was worried that the 19" wheels with run flats would be too harsh, but happy to report that it feels absolutely fine. I still have the fillings in my teeth biggrin

Random differences to note compared to my old one:
Touchscreen is more useful that I thought
Electronic handbrake
Normal indicator stalks that click down/up
The light ring around the charging socket has gone and this make it more difficult to plug in when it's dark.
It makes very wierd whirring noises when plugging in.
Can't say i've noticed the acoustic "engine" noise yet
Finally climate control sync setting for temperature.
Double the charging time - 4 hours at full beans on an installed charger (obviously)
Spotify App seems to run in the car rather than through the phone.
Thought I would miss the heated steering wheel but this one is a nicer warmer leather anyway.
Lights are good, only had halogens before.
Seems to run in electric mode up to 70 MPH instead of 51. maybe there is a setting somewhere.
Driving modes are different, Electric, Hybrid & Sport.
Battery Save % is configurable now, not just set at 90%.
Still Learning!

How does the new 330e drive compared to the F30 version? Some people mentioned it lost a bit of the sporty feel...

Both those changes seem a bad move.
The indicator staying in its start position is extremely useful because you can cancel by pressing in either direction, and you know where it is.

It's a better steer than an F30 330d imho - and I'd guess that was ahead of the F30 330e?

In Xtraboost it managed to surprise a colleague who runs a F30 335d estate, the steering has more weight to it and seems more precise if not full of feedback. Running Sports suspension in that mode and I've found it acceptable so far, the G20 has moved the game on and that carries regardless of which model I'd expect.

Getting used to the regen brakes, nearly 3k on the clock so far - mainly running in Hybrid EcoPro apart from when Sport or Sports Box is needed and returning 48mpg over those miles 700 or so being e drive - waiting for the home charger to be installed!
