I use the acceleration of my m3p all the time.
Better hope your insurance company isn't reading this.Actually I wonder if this is one of the reasons why Model 3 insurance is quite expensive. Performance cars always are but are M3 drivers in the "boy racer" category?

Indeed, same here. Joining 70 MPH dual carriageways from stop junctions, overtaking slow moving farm machinery on NSL B-Roads, just for fun at the traffic light grand prix etc. After 5k miles my tyres still look like new. EV drivetain, AWD and clever TC really does seem to be the perfect combination for putting 500/500 down to the road without any fuss.

Please I beg, STFU about Tesla for 5 minutes. You people are obsessed, absolutely obsessed.
Such a fragile bunch.
There’s so much puerile drivel posted, most of it patently untrue, that it does make one wonder about those posting.

I imagine if there were as many Tesla mentions in the thread but they were all negative we wouldn't be having this conversation?

The Polestar 2 is just arriving in the real world and will be judged on many things, including how various details compare with the incumbent leaders and other offerings. The "scores" will vary and there will continue to be subjective and objective discussions.
People that already prefer the Polestar 2 to the alternatives will have their reasons, and vice versa. Internet waffle.
What will be more interesting will be how the car unfolds as an ownership proposition. Will the unique attractive parts be fragile? Will the big screen get all fingerprinty? Will it be able to do 6 laps without de-rating power? Will a boot liner be needed, or is the material easy to wipe down? Etc.
Fair play to those who have taken the plunge with anything new, particularly with the Model S.
I am pretty close to ordering Thunder and Performance Pack, but seeing a few Thunder in photos, it's a lighter grey than I was expecting, so might go for Midnight instead. Then again, Magnesium looks less "white" in real photos than in the configurator, so that might work. But the colour really isn't up to me, as I'm colourblind, so SWMBO will have the final say in that.

The colours are all Volvo colours, so you may be able to look at other cars for a good approximation.Very sad to see the outside color options so limited though. Where's the Polestar blue?
This Dutch website mentioned in their video that Polestar asked them not to do a head to head with the Model 3 for now... Seems like an odd decision?
